I would imagine this gauge cluster is obtaining its info in much the same manner as anew OBD II connected device. So basically it may be a tablet in the shape of a dash, hopefully with the gauge app installed directly to the screen.

I'm a traditionalist, so naturally I don't like them. I'll take dedicated gauges any day. And BTW, what does PRNDS stand for? ;)

Dude lol. Not to argue but if i understand this correctly, he is saying that Ford is offering 300% more warranty than Sony.

1year x 300% is the same as 1year x 3 (decimal moved over twice) which is 3 years

By your logic, if 1 year is 100%, 2 years would be 200% and 3 years would be 300%. Percentages dont get added on. 1 year x 200% is doubling it to 2 years. 1 year x 50% would dividing it in half -> 1 year x 0.5 = 0.5 years.

It's 300% bro lol.
You're ignoring the word MORE.
3 years is 300% OF 1 year.
3 years is NOT 300% MORE than one year.

Dude.

layout isnt consolidated as it could be, a bit much info and spread all over the screen. Lexus has the better implementation for LCD gauges in their F Sport modes and RCF/GSF. In Sport+ mode the fuel cutoff at 7300 will actually move to the 12 oclock position so you can more easily tell when you are close to redline and the visibility becomes more aggressive. I think its lame when a car gets LCD gauges but then they make the graphics look like traditional gauges, whats the point then

I don't like them. I prefer analog gauges.

While they look very up to date and all, it is just one more thing that can go wrong. Since i do prefer analog gauges, i would not order them even if i was to get a 2018.

Sensors aren't needed for manual trans gears. The computer can figure it out by RPM and MPH. The BRZ has gear indicator for the manual and it is a calculated value.
That makes sense. Yes it would be gimmicky and not very useful, but it would still be cool to have.

Those gauges are really cool and I was really impressed with them when I drove the RC Fsport. But at the end of the day I prefer analog gauges.
