My 2018 has all the cameras. So I'm just wondering has anyone put a dash cam on their 2018 yet? I'm really thinking about getting one just as a piece of mind sort of thing. But I don't really know where to put it since my rear view mirror has a camera in it(for the lane departure system.)

if you think your dash cam will get hot in summer then get one with a capacitor, and a longer 2-year warranty. Or get one with a suction mount that you can pull down when parked under the sun.

I have the Safe and Smart package so my question is: Is there anywhere else I can put the dash cam so it doesn't get in the way of the cameras for said package? I don't want it in my view or in my passengers view.

I ran a Street Guardian for a while, mounted to the side of the rear view mirror, drivers side. And it didn't bother me. It has since malfunctioned. Heat probably got it. So I am in the market for new dash cam. Street Guardian now advertises a 2 year warranty for those that register their device so I may try that again.

Rexing v1, I can’t vouch for fittings behind the smart and safe cameras but it’s one of the speaker ones. Remember, don’t buy Sandisk SD card!

I think you're overthinking the whole thing. Just take a look at where the lane camera is and consider that area off limits and move to the other areas that would not interfere? They're plenty of cameras that can mount literally anywhere on the windshield.

I have a BlackVue DR650s 2CH as well as a ThinkWare F770 2CH. Both have their pros and cons

I really need to invest in a good dash cam. I'm just not sure how the wiring works to hide it in a good spot up near the rear view mirror. Guess I need to do some Googling.

Not sure if this helps, but it's the Thinkware F770 as installed in my 2016.

Doesn't obstruct my view in any way whatsoever.

Aren't you afraid someone will see it and try to steal it?

Not really worried about theft. It is a lot cheaper than that dash cam a few posts up and I get double duty out of it on my motorcycle. I think I paid $130 for it. Also use it for the track
