Aren't you afraid someone will see it and try to steal it?
probably take a little risk with any electronics or visible cables. I read that some thieves will look for suction mount marks on the windshield and then guess something interesting is in the car.

People that don t have the package with all safety features don t understand the problem. The big plastic box with the camera and sensor for automatic wiper, adaptive cruise control etc is very big. It s build to avoid putting something in front of the view of the camera. I put my blackvue dash cam on the passenger side and if have to put it not near the middle but around 12 inches to the right. Because to close to the middle and the camera view is blocked by the huge f.....g black box

Plus
By putting it on the passenger side i realised that it was behind a part of the windshield that is not cleaned by the wiper

May be this picture helps

I've got the https://www.blackvue.com/product/dr900s-2ch/ In mine, and I've got lane assist etc as well, I've put the camera directly under the Lane assist cameras and I've had no issues what so ever!

(P.S. LSEATER10 saves ya a small chunk off the Blackvues.)

Rexing v1, I can’t vouch for fittings behind the smart and safe cameras but it’s one of the speaker ones. Remember, don’t buy Sandisk SD card!
I love my Rexing, I have a V1/R3 which is 4K and it has fantastic video and sound. I don't know how big the lane departure thing is though.
