My car shut down while driving, I pulled over and it would not Rev, was running very ruff. Was able to limp home a few blocks. When it happened I got the wrench led, hill assist not available, and service advance trac messages. I pulled 2 codes also. P2111 TAC stuck open, and P2119 TAC throttle body rannge/performance. It's stuck in this mode now, runs very ruff with no throttle response at all. Any suggestions? I've ordered a reman throttle body today. I cleaned the the old one today and looked inside and everything looks good. Reinstalled it, turned the ignition on and had my wife move the throttle peddle and it moved/worked the throttle valve perfectly. Started it and it still ran like crap with the same codes. Doh! Any advice while I wait on my new throttle body? Thanks..

You could try unplugging the battery completely, let it sit for 10-15 minutes to have the computer completely reset. Then plug everything back up. If the codes still show up you know something is pretty wrong and I would probably take it into a shop.

Have done that multiple times with no luck. I'll have the new throttle body soon, should be the fix. We'll see....

Here ya go, since you have a 2018, if the original TB was never replaced under the TSB, you *might* have a chance of getting the repair done under the TSB. You would have to call your local Ford Dealer and inquire if they can do it with no out of pocket expense to you or not.

If your S550 has engine mods or aftermarket tune, then you might be declined the TSB repair.

Also check to make sure that the brake pedal bumper (or clutch pedal bumper with MT82s) didn’t fall apart which affects drivability. See below thread which contains many images, DIY and the recently released official NHTSA docs near end of thread. Even though Ford states in the docs it affects 2015's clutch pedal bumper AND brake pedal bumper, , there's many threads on here where members have posted other model years where the problem exists.

Great info, thanks. I will call my dealership and see if I can get a TB from them. The reman one I ordered is arriving tomorrow, so hopefully that's a fix as its not drivable now. I'll also check my clutch and brake peddle stops!

Installed the new reman throttle body and it runs smoother, but still won't rev when gas peddle is moved. Also, the old codes cleared for the throttle body, but got a new one. P0124 TPS/peddle position sensor A sensor intermittent. My battery may be suspect so I'm gonna see if my spare will fit and start it.

That’s scary! I always worry about that. There was an article published many years ago thst talked about wiring sheathing being made with soy products which attracts rodents. I park in a stage, but it still worries me because rodents can squeeze through the tiniest openings like the corners of garage doors.

I hope they get you sorted out quickly.
