Stated the car today and drove off fine till it hit open loop at the light out of my subdivision. it idled fine until I hit the gas a little and then sounded like it pulled timing bad and would not go over 1500 rpms. The wrench lite came on and I limped back home at idle. Got home and shut it off and did a scan and no dtc`s were recorded. what could it be? Its a 2015 m6 with a Roush supercharger with their tune, no other mods.
Well I figured it out. It was the hoses for the catch can. Bad vac or pressure leak. When I went to the auto parts store to get some 1/2 inch EVAP or PCV line the said they did not have a 5 foot section but only 2, 3 foot sections. I checked the one and they both looked alike but it said PCV on it. Got home and cut the lines to fit and use the mesh to cover the hoses. All was perfect till today. It was heater hose and it swelled up bad so make sure your lines say PCV on them when you do the catch can thing.
