After owning my 2018 for about 7 months, I have "postulated" a seat of the pants power band. Mine is 100% stock, I know it's not a torque monster (I had a torque monster many moons ago), but this is my assessment of the real world power band:
* Idle to 2,000 rpm - easily keeps up with the flow of traffic
* 2K to 3K - puts you way ahead of traffic
* 3K to 4K - speeding ticket territory
* 4K to 6K - speeding ticket, possible jail time
* 6K to 7K+ - definite jail time, possible loss of license, car impounded, major premium spike or loss of insurance
Hope I can stay out of jail, not have my car impounded, and keep my insurance. Just my .02 cents worth. Hard to imagine this thing with FI.
