  1. 2018 or 2019 GT reliable question

Zero mechanical issues and no TW tick on my 2019 GT 401A A10. I'm at around 7,800 miles now and 1 oil change in and the car has really been flawless. The paint quality is subpar but nothing I didn't already expect from Ford. To avoid chipping issues, I had the full front clip, entire roof (yes...
  2. Radar Detector mounting locations / pics

Under the mirror with a Blendmount and a wiretap is a great location for an R7. Mine is extremely sensitive in this location, it's tucked up tight by the mirror, not un the way of anything (including line of site) and is easy to see and adjust.
  3. 93 octane

How beneficial would a 93 tune be if my only mods are a drop in AEM filter an and H-pipe? Wondering if there's any seat of the pants improvement to be had since I only run 93 anyway.
  4. Hardwire Radar into 2018 Mirror w/rain sensor

I'm extremely happy with it. The sensitivity it outstanding and with the proper set up the falses are minimal. I would purchase it again without any hesitation. By way of update to my post as well, I did switch to a blend mount and the 10" power tap works perfectly there too.
  5. New Jersey WTB: Seat Belt Guide GM part #10385983

No, I should have attached a picture to be more descriptive. The part is actually a GM part but a lot of S550 owners have used it for the seat belt. Problem is, they've discontinued it so you can't buy it retail. Junk yards are an option but most near me won't sell the $14 bracket, just the...
  6. New Jersey WTB: Seat Belt Guide GM part #10385983

Looking for a new or used one in good condition, black or charcoal for the drivers side. These were used to get the seatbelt to a better position on S550's. Located in NJ but happy to pay shipping from where ever you are if you have one. Thanks!
  7. Is using a wiretap on rear view mirror OK?

Wiretaps are good to go. Have my Uniden R7 on a blendmouuntt hardwired from the rear view mirror. It's been great. So much better than the old days of cutting and splicing wires or using those old school pinch connectors.
  8. Seatbelt Guides

Yup, I placed three orders and had them all cancelled "discontinued part." I was able to get the passenger side, those are still in stock. If anyone has a line on where you can still pick up a new driver side #10385983 or has one they want to sell, post up or shoot me a PM. Otherwise it's time...
  9. Things I wish my S550 did

Thanks, I did try the extender. Helped a bit but still cuts into my shoulder too much on long rides.
  10. Active exhaust: yay or nay?

My '19 GT is loaded, every option except Recaros. Active exhaust is a great feature, it's helpful to be able to quiet start in the mornings or keep it in normal and just be low key. If you told me I had to give up a feature though, I'd let AE go earlier than some others (magneride, B&O, 401a)...
  11. Things I wish my S550 did

Wade001, thanks so much for posting this! It's exactly what I was thinking of. Yeah looks like it's going to be hard to find at this point but not impossible. Just need to put some work in now. Thanks again!!
  12. Things I wish my S550 did

I wish there was some adjustability to the location of the seatbelt or even some sort of an arm off the headrest to position it better. No matter what I have ever tried, it digs into my neck and shoulder something horrible and is at best something I tolerate but it honestly takes some of the...
  13. 2020 GT Exhaust Drone

    LMAO, but I like it!
  14. 2020 GT Exhaust Drone

My '19 GT A10 drones at 2k as well, I have the active exhaust. The sound tube pipes engine noise into the cabin at idle, above idle it really does nothing. I tried removing it, drone didn't go away. I will say that the cabin gets really quiet when you're idling at a stop light for example. I...
  15. Question for those that did a sound tube delete

I decided to waste money and bought a kit from RacerX. Plugs the firewall hole with a plastic grommet and the hole at the intake with a machined aluminum cap with a rubber grommet in it. Nice piece of kit but totally uneccasary. Home Depot or Lowes hardware sections sell plastic caps that can...
  16. Question for those that did a sound tube delete

I fiddled with the 10mm nut for a good 30 minutes using extensions and swivels and took it off but agree that just ripping it off makes sense. I always wondered what the difference was with it out, especially since in a lot of older posts guys were saying they couldn't hear the difference...
  17. Ford Safe & Smart Package - What are your Thougths

I added Safe and Sound when I spec'd my 19 GT for one feature, the adaptive cruise control. I have a early version of it on my daily ('12 Grand Cherokee) and I've used it a lot over the past 175,000 miles. The modern version of it in the Mustang works well and I'm happy with it. Auto wipers I...
  18. Mustang GT reliability

I've got 5,800 miles on my purchased new, 2019 GT and it's been flawless. Just passed a year of ownership and changed the factory fill oil when it showed 20% life left (about 5600 miles). No tick, no weird noises. Just a great car.
  19. 2019 Mustang Horn - Single Tone - Solution

Dropping the front bumper is insane, even doing it from underneath is not really necassary. I swapped out the single low tone horn for the dual tone (picked up from Tasca for under $20) without removing ANYTHING in about 20 minutes. It's very easy, just swap the entire bracket out from the top...
  20. FordPass service is now free

I’m psyched they are making it free. I use it more often than I thought I would on my 19 GT and it actually works the way it should which is rare for this stuff,
