ok so i sold my digital gauge over a month ago i did plug it in to make sure it turned on and it did.but i decided not to install it after all and instead went with a premium cluster instead. so they guy i sold it too over a month and a half ago contacts me today and says the lcd is messed up and wants his money back. im thinking this dude dropped it or messed it up on the install. my question is if paypal sides wth him and he sends it back how much is it to fix the lcd screen or is it done for. the bottom pic is what i took of it to sell it. i should have snapped a pic of it on but didnt feel like removing my cluster just to plug it up.

That top picture looks like it’s installed and damaged. How could you not see that before installing it? Why would someone install a damaged part? I think it’s obvious what happened here- they installed it, then broke it. Or broke it during install.

That’s exactly what I was thinking

I already did that as far as possible but there are no menus for the perimeter alarm or the collision prevention assist and i have already disabled the front camera.
This post should help with the collision related items, but not finding anything in the sheet I use for the perimeter alarm. Seems like some versions of forscan show the drop downs and some don't. Might check your version if you are not seeing them. I believe somewhere in this thread it is discussed.

The Aliexpress item look like fewer parts than the picture of what you sold.

So, can you get the surrounding parts in your picture separately from Ford or elsewhere?

The purpose of what he said was to replace the cracked lcd screen. You can also replace the plastic cover for $20. They scratch easy and I’ve replaced mine.

Is it hard to take the cover off and replace the screen
Not at all. But I build computers and installed many parts on my car. I have had clusters apart and think it’s easy but you will need a 9 or 10 torque bit.

Anyone who has gone back to stock and put back their original analog cluster how did you program the miles? Has anyone been able to succesfully use the Odometer write function on the OEM 2018 analog speedometers?

After installing the cluster and writing the baseline changes with Forscan, I noticed that the fuel level is reading weird. I looked a bit more into it, and the car is throwing error code P2068 which deals with reading the fuel level. I can't say for sure this happened exactly after the Forscan programming or even the cluster installation, but there was no engine code prior to the installation and the analog cluster read 100% accurate.

In some of the previous posts, I read it took a couple of fuel tanks for some cars to relearn the fuel reading. Has anyone had this or anything similar happen?
