Correct that the redline would be wrong but that is not to big of a deal (I mean we are talking about only 250rpm that would not be displayed). I am mostly curious about whether or not if you coded it for an 18 5.0 that it would work with the 350 systems. My suspicion is that Ford took alot of the 350 code and used it for the GT so things like the exhaust valves and magnaride could possibly work without issue.
Active exhaust would definitely be an interesting one because the GT uses the screen to set it where as the GT 350 uses a physical button if I’m not mistaken

The other possibility is that the 19 GT500 will come with the LCD screen and could solve a few of these issues.

Digitally displayed gets past that issue. Same with RPM. (unless it simply does not read above that?)
Probably not that big of an issue at the end of the day as I think most people probably keep it under the 160 mark anyways.

Base model 350s (without sync 3) control the active exhaust though the cluster. Now how the 18 LCD cluster would react to the hardware button would be a different story... Not sure about that one, same goes for magnaride button.

I don’t think I could bring myself to modify a Shelby variant that far from stock. The dealer I worked at last in Phoenix had two on the showroom floor but at the time my commute was nearly a hundred miles round trip and my wife had commandeered my Jeep since we moved from Massachusetts. If and when I get a Shelby it will be a garage queen, not my DD.

Haha if I bought a 350 it would most certainly not be a garage queen... The car is meant to be driven! :headbang:

That said it likely would not be my sole daily driver. I would imagine though that the 18's have the updated dash that would not require trimming (tooling was updated for 18 and as such the 18 350 likely has the dash) The mileage change though might cause some issue.

I hear ya, I just look at a Shelby as an investment that will gain value unlike our cars which rapidly lose value the moment we drive off the lot.

Buying a dremel was a waste. Too big to really get in there and it just makes hot molten plastic messes. My little Milwaukee extended tip hacksaw, done in 45 seconds.

Jealous of you digital cluster boys. Does the display turn red when you hut redline like the old ones do? And do the middle console steering and drive mode toggles still work?

I have an 18 and would like to upgrade to the digital cluster. Do I HAVE to use forescan? I don’t have heated steering wheel or active cruise.

It does react but I can’t specify how.

Yes programming is needed whether it’s through forscan or IDS.

Are the clusters back in stock anywhere, or still on backorder?
