I'll have to play with seat height but it's constant and completely obliterates the screen.

Yeah, it must be a height AND seat position issue. I live in hot TX, and haven't noticed anything. If it was a problem for me, I'd already know for sure. I'm 5'10", so not tall by any means, have the seat all the way down, the seat a bit more forward than I like... but it's a manual, so have to be able to fully depress the clutch. And no issues. My guess is those with an issue have the seat even more forward, and maybe higher that all the way down. I'd annoy the hell out of me, so glad that I'm not affected :D.

i have the same issue sometimes even with the non digital cluster.
2 possible recommendations Ive seen:
plasti dip the center plastic part, or apply felt or velcro to it.
I'd wager a matte or satin vinyl wrap would do the job nicely too.

Ha ha. Thanks, but not for me. If the whole pedal cluster moved, like on my ex-F150 Platinum, it'd be a different story. I was only talking about maybe in inch, so hardly worth doing anything about it. If I had that glare, then maybe. But I'm fine. Thanks for posting that anyway, for those who might really need it :).

Never had a problem and while driving today I think I realized why: polarized sunglasses. I lifted them up and saw glare just like in the OP's picture, put them back on and it cut 90% of the glare.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think ill try having a light absorbing cloth on the plastic peice to begin with and then if that doesnt work, ill try to add bits on top of the display. I observed that simply putting my hand on the dash above the display makes a difference so i think having something stuck there is a good fix

and about my seat, im 5’11 and i have my seat all the way to the bottom and really further back, almost 4 inched from the rear seat, coz i like my legs flat. Tried raising the seat today but didnt really solve anything.

I very rarely notice it, and I drive a convertible (with a top that stays down 90% of the time).

*shrug*
Good to know. I purposely stayed away from the 401a because I was afraid the display would wash out with the top down. Maybe I'll give it a try next time.

Yeah, when I went from my '16 to my '19, getting the 401a / digital dash was a big thing for me, I really wanted to change up the driving experience / interior, since they're mostly the same. I did think about visibility issues with a convertible, but it hasn't been an issue.

front windshield tint. like 65%ish. helps a ton in blocking heat and glare.

Hey maybe it's us short guys that aren't seeing it :). I'm with you Elp-jc with having my seat slightly more forward than I would normally like......and I will never use one of those pedal extenders.

The informative elements of the dashboard just flat hide during certain sun angles, even with the top up. Eliminated the problem with (you could look it up) "Sticky felt", black in color, as shown in the attached photo. Cut it to fit before removing the non-stick backing. I learned that this stuff wants to stay stuck, seriously, so next time I'll not use the whole Sticky back to keep the pieces in place, just cut a few apertures in the backing, so it will sit still but be removable if desired.

I don't often see mentioned the Extremely Bright flash I get from the aluminum steering-wheel spokes, which I have successfully mitigated with "Blackboard" satin black Contac®-type vinyl shelf-ish paper. See photo 2.
