Im not sure if this was an issue a lot of people so or if its just due to the seat set up, but my digital dash catches a lot of glare from the plastic piece under it when i drive during the day with the sun above the car. If anyone has had this and was able to solve it, can you pass on some recommendations?

Thank you.

Hey, 2250 rpm in 10th gear is like 90 mph, no? Hope no Arlington MA cops here. Ha ha. J/K. Back to your issue. I haven't noticed that yet, but now that you posted it, will check it out. I use the sport and track modes only, with the 3 middle gauges. And have both primary and secondary as white, so brighter than other colors.

Hahaha thank you for reminding me to update my location to mexico

also, its honestly a little better than the picture where you can still read whats behind it and i like the normal better coz i can see what i want and can go without the gauge info.

Window tint makes a HUGE difference in solving this problem. Get at least 45% on the side windows and more than that on the rear, and the problem will all but go away.

I do have dark tints on my car. The issue is that this light is coming through the windshield and not the sides and i dont think it would go away unless you have really dark tints on the windshield which i think is a terrible idea.

I have an 80% tint on my windshield as well. Not dark enough to be a safety issue but reduced a lot of glare for me

There are anti glare screen protectors for computers out there. I wonder if someone could cut one for the digital dash.

Try the @DarkHor$e Eliminator Shield XM47:

Glare Problem solved

the glare problem reared it's ugly head today as i was driving around, so decided to try something new. I determined it's caused by ANY sun light that manages to strike the ~5x5" panel right below the center of the display.
This time I tried to block it and was pleasantly surprised with the results, no more Glare.
As proof of concept i used card board, but you can use any slightly flexible material, and paint it flat black, such as a piece of plastic. Suggest you cut a round on the edges that face you and maybe roughen the edge with sand paper to prevent an accident. Cut the piece to 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and use a high quality double sided tape such as the 3M or Scotch 20lb or 30lb stuff, available at Lowes or HD. Cut the tape in half and place 2 rows, one no less than1/2" from the back edge and the 2nd row at about 2" from the same edge (edge that faces the dash). I suggest placing the tape on BEFORE you paint the material, so it sticks to the material when you slowly pry it off, if you remove the piece for any reason. Of course, you can play with the shape and dimensions to customize and improve on it..

Looks pretty unobtrusive, don't really notice it, doesn't interfere with the steering wheel, and does it's job. Have a great day.

I used a piece of black neoprene (drum skin, leftover scrap from my 'kill the center speaker' initiative) and it helped but not perfect. You need something that does a lousy job of reflecting light. I'm going to try a bit of black terry towel. I don't know what Ford was thinking putting in shiny black plastic and how nobody noticed the problem? Maybe they don't get sun in Detroit?

I don't notice the glare on my car, but I have a light 3M ceramic tint (85%, if memory serves) on the windshield.

I very rarely notice it, and I drive a convertible (with a top that stays down 90% of the time).
