Don't know about some of you guys, but I find that the way I sit in my 2015 and the position of the wheel I prefer, I don't see the turn signal indicators in the dash unless I sit up a tad to look for it. I've done the "grandpa leaving my blinker on" a couple of times because of that (usually my radio is plenty louder than the blinker noise...:headbang:) In other words, I think the hood indicators would actually benefit me more than just "looking cool", though they do! My friend in high school had a 67 with them and I always thought it was a neat feature.

Also, anyone else impressed that Ford has listened to the consumers? I was shocked that we all made such an impression! Any of you who have been lurking these forums for the past year or so will know that many of us tweeted, favebooked, and e-mailed Ford about the several things we wanted to see, and it appears they actually responded for many of them! I think these were two of the largest package complaints:

  1. No PP for GT Convertibles (though they did skip on giving it to Auto customers, for some reason...that was a big one for many people)
  2. No other finish options for PP Wheels

Sucks that I complained to Ford many times about it, never heard back (didn't expect to), and I still ordered my 2015...now I have to be in awe of those 2016 owners who get the choice :( Oh well, my fault for being impatient!
I learned a long time ago in the computer (and book) business that what is available to purchase is already obsolete. When shopping it is just a matter of how obsolete it really is. The 2016 will be relegated to the same status as soon as the "2017 rumor mill" kicks in. By the time 2018 rolls around there will be updates to the car that you may consider trading your 2015 in on...and then 2019 comes out....LOL. It never ends, unless like the Mercury Cougar or the Lincoln Mark VIII, they are no longer with us; wouldn't that be horrible.

You have one of the nicest cars on the planet. There is nothing really about the 2016 that should be too much of a disappointment for 2015 buyers. Anything on this car should mount right up on the 2015 anyway so if there is a real feature worth getting it can be added...for now. Future models will be different....

Yeah I know, they will always be improving the cars! Was hoping for at least one year of not being obsolete...I actually expected the 2016 to be largely unchanged save maybe the CS package and wheels/colors. They actually changed more than I expected. I knew for sure 2017 would bring some nice changes. I didn't hear about Sync3 until after I already placed my order, and had I heard about it before I probably would have been more enticed to wait for the 2016...oh well, I still do love my car!

The 648 wheels and the black wheels with the 60B Black Accent Package are not just the same design in two different colors. The design is different also.
Good catch...in the low res they looked identical..now you can see there is no curve connecting 2 spokes on the inside.

They are definitely modeled after the 648 wheels though...you can see the design/features are almost identical.

you've had yours it looks like since Jan...so I don't think you should worry about it. Now like me, who was not ordering till March...there was basically no point in at least not waiting to see what the changes were.

I'm glad I waited because I did want black wheels and Sync 3 and can get both now. The turn indicators are just bonus.

Very first thing I'm going to do when I get my UK model is order some of those sweet, sweet Ebony Black wheels from the California Special. Hot damn they'd look awesome on an all black car.

I noticed that a raised blade decklid spoiler is standard equipment on the GT. According to the 2016 Order Guide, the raised blade spoiler is not a new feature. I do not recall seeing a picture of a 2015 GT with a rear spoiler. I have not yet seen a 2015 GT in person, but I have seen the 2015 Ecoboost and it did not have a decklid spoiler. I think a spoiler balances out the rear design of the new Mustang. How tall is the raised blade decklid spoiler ?

I had an '83 GT with the TRX wheels and tires. The traction was terrible in the wet or snowy conditions so I bought winter tires and wheels. They were black steel wheels with no hubcaps. I never thought I was starting a trend with that look.... :tsk:

I couldn't wait to take the boots off in the Spring and put the running shoes back on...looks and performance.
LOL, I had a 79 Cobra with those same damn TRX wheels! From what I remember they were a metric tire and expensive. I did the same as you and got 14 inch black steel rims and stuffed Whte lettered General XP2000 245/60R14s in them. OMG they looked huge on that car back in the day :D

The descriptions are deceiving. The "raised blade decklid spoiler" is likely the same that is in the 2015s, unless you get the "spoiler delete" option or the PP which also deletes the spoiler. That is the exact description from the 2015 order guide.

It appears the California Special will have a different spoiler, just based off the description "Raised Decklid Spoiler - Black". If it is like the 2014 C/S, it will actually be raised and have a gap between the trunk lid and the spoiler...and apparently be black in color. Will be interesting to see, though I personally still prefer no spoiler on this body style

Still don't understand no Red-line interior for CO and RR? Both cars are basically red and would look good with the Red-line interior option. This baffles me.

Some cool color combos with being able to order a black roof.

No black accent package with the performance package? WHY? I want the chrome delete option.

Yeah, I thought they seem to be offering the Yellow Jacket interior on surprisingly quite a few colors...Redline would seem to be great for at least RR. CO it might be too much clash...I dunno

I sorta disagree. If they would have listened to the consumer they would have did the following:
*Performance Package with auto
*Premium interior option on V6
*Better sounding sound system at all levels
*More color options w/ Premium leather (Ceramic and dark saddle anyone?)
*Lower gear option on the Performance Pack

I would hazard to guess that Ford has a good reason for NOT offering the PP on the automatic equipped cars. I don't think they are oblivious of the desire for it and are sitting around saying, "let's piss off potential buyers". What those reasons are, I have no idea, but I would guess it might have to do with meeting CAFE standards. The anniversary models were a limited number, thus very small impact, if any, on the fleet average. If you offer it on tens of thousands of cars, that likely changes.
