Looking at possibly buying a 2016 GT350 with the Technology pack. I have read much about overheating issues with the 16 models that don't have the track pack. Is this a concern if you never plan to track the car? (would there be cause for concern in the Arizona summer heat when daily driving)??

there is an enormous thread on this site with tons of information and two very different points of view. Suggest reading through the information there. Its a bit of a sore subject and another thread is like picking the scab

^^^What he said.

Also, there's more than one thread, go back a few pages. Feel free to use the search feature.

For the trans, there's an OEM fix out. DIY for under $4,000.

For the Diff, FP verbally confirmed a kit was coming, however this was before the class action action lawsuit specific to 2016 Techs (and should apply to '16 Bases if it doesn't already). Google it, you'll find it was reported widely.
Welcome to the forum.

As a Tech Pak owner I would say no. I've pushed my car hard for 20 min with no limp mode albeit not full track conditions. That said would I prefer a 17 with the cooler and extra insurance no question. Would I part with my 16 to do so, no way.

Damn I already parted ways with my 16 so I dont have to worry, waiting on the 17, looks like I will miss the meet up in Danville this weekend. I will be there in spirit.

Oh and once again Warriors are going to the Championship, :D

No I wish, DIB isnt offered in the 17, I went with black w/ white stripes. This was my 2nd choice when I got my 16.

Yeah Rockets are playing pretty well, I just cant stand watching Harden's game, he should play soccer as well...

The only issue in AZ would be sitting in traffic or hot days. Otherwise, I doubt you will ever experience limp mode.

Curry chews his mouthpiece like it was a binky. The Warriors will always be known for blowing a 3-1 lead in the finals.
Go Cavs.

In AZ, I would pass on a 16 model GT350 unless it has the Tranny Fluid Coolers. How embarrassed would you be cruising down the 10 Freeway through the cool tunnel, and then getting Limp Mode and have every piece of cr!p in Phoenix passing you and waving the, "Yeah, me and my Kia just blew past you and your fancy Mustang" wave?

From a resale standpoint I think you will be safer with a car that is equipped with coolers. You have a chance here to avoid a known problem. I would recommend avoiding it.

If you find a car that has the colors and features that you want, and you are not going to track the car, then it really doesn't matter if you get a 16 or a 17. This is based on my Tech Pack that I have been daily driving and racing for the past year and a half.

I would say don't do it, or if you do buy a 2016 tech pack car, only buy it if you are getting a really great deal. If you have problems with heat it will be a real pain to fix them.

If you only plan to putt around with the car and not take it to the road course, I'd encourage you to buy a regular Mustang GT instead. The cost is a lot lower and there are fewer issues. Actually if you are planning to go to a road course, buy a base GT rather than a tech pack GT350. You will be better off.
