Hi to all,

I'm having a problem with the right side of my front bumper.
As you can see from the picture below, my front bumper does not fit well with the car's frame anymore.

This happened probably because I took some bumpers or potholes at high speed.
I noticed that this part of the bumper is damaged since it became too flexible and it is not possible anymore to push it in its housing.

How can I fix this part of the bumper? Any ideas?
Do I really need to buy a new front bumper?

Moreover, how this black part is called? I would like to replace it, too.

Thank you!

Very common problem. If you do a search there are some creative solutions.

Can you give me some tips on what to search, please?
English is not my first language so I can't figure out what I should write for the research.

Thanks

Keep looking, theres one or two other good ones. For your yellow car, repairing/rebuilding the tabs is probably the best bet. For a dark colored car I’d just throw a small quick latch in there and call it a day. (I have one on each side on my black car)

I have the same problem.

In my case the tinkerer added a glob of the same black material they use to glue the windshield. He told me that they have to remove it later, it is not excessively difficult. It turned out well. it is not noticeable

Yes, I just saw on youtube the solution based on the latch, but on my yellow car would be like a punch in the face :cwl:
However, I didn't know this was a so common problem!

If you look at the bottom of the tab where there is a circle opening, that is actually where a small screw going into.
On the inside of the fender there is another piece that can line up with that area and you can stick a bolt through and tighten it to hold the bumper up if your insert tabs no longer grab.
Have one person hold the bumper snug up to the fender when you insert a screw in there and the screw should hold it in place. I had a friend that hit a flower pot in his girlfriend's driveway (lol) that broke the bumper tabs on one side but that circle was still good and that was how I helped him tighten it up.
