Still dislike their nav screen setup, center console and vents. Yuck.

I like that Kalahari leather color.

Looks like brembo are only standard on SS. I have read literature stating otherwise. But I'd guess this should be accurate.

HID standard... Nice

I like the side profile and the big V8, the front and rear ends are meh, and the interior design is still super MEH in my opinion. A bubble around the gauges, a stereo that looks like an afterthought and then a long boring skinny dash to the passenger door.

They are still dancing around the weight specifics, think that is the last big piece of info folks want to pounce on.

Weight, MPG, Cost...

The 200lb loss AT LEAST is probably 200lb on the V8, 300lb on the V6 and 350-400 on the T4.

Surprised they aren't offering 19" wheels. One 18" option and that's it is kinda crazy.

I can help by wonder why GM is being so cryptic about the weight loss. If there was some awesome/revolutionary weight loss from the previous model they would be shouting it from the rooftops.

I can't help but wonder what exactly "200 lbs or more depending on model" really means

It means that depending on the model, there is at least a 200lb savings.

That 200lb minimum savings is most likely the SS. V8 and the most gear.

We know that the V6 clocks in at 300lb+ savings.

Most likely their 4 cylinder will be 350lb+ savings.

Just saw a billboard driving through long beach, said starting as low as 27,000.

No way the starting MSRP is 27,000.

Wow, starting at $27,000 is quite a price increase if true.

20 inch wheels standard... ugh...

This Alpha also looks to be based on the CTS, not the ATS.

Ford also said the F150 lost 700lbs. It also depended on the model.

Losing 4 inches off a CTS 114 inch wheelbase would save 200lbs. Working back from a CTS changes a lot.

If it ends up being a $40,000 1SS, then it's possible they did save 200lbs. That weight cost money.

The Base car is going from $23,700 to $27,000 is a $3000-$4000 dollar increase. The V6 could start close to $30,000 and the SS very close to $39,000.

The actual V6 model would have increased by nearly $7000. That would be unacceptable...

Maybe the 2.0 isn't included on that advertisement and that $27,000 IS the V6. Still sets you up for a $37,505-$38,995 1SS.

Track Pack for weight reduction $3500
Performance Pack for brakes and 19's $3500
MRC... $3500...
Recaro's $2500

Good lord... If an "As tested" 1SS TP/PP/MRC/Recaro is $50,000, who needs a 1LE?

I would love to have my interior in that Kalahari shade.
It would look awesome on your Guard and Black. Very Ferrari-esque.
