Have any documentation on the N thing? That is technically illegal, car's cannot coast in neutral last I checked. I've also never experienced mine shit into gear like that. I think torque management and throttle control is what most are experiencing.

Have you tried going into S and manually shifting with the paddles to see if it behaves the same? There is some delay built into the throttle mapping as you start to push the throttle. Sport tames this down some.

GT with 3.15 gears and automatic is averaging 17.4mpg per the log book. This is with 35-40% miles being "spirited" driving. :)
