Ordered mine May 28th...

Deep Impact Blue
Ceramic interior...(whatever color Ceramic is)
Eco Boost Package
Automatic
Standard interior...not a fan of hot leather seats

Dealer add on...2 white stripes...I want stripes...high on the cool factor for me.
Congrats on your order. Sounds like it is going to be beautiful.

Living in FL I've dealt with HOT black seats for the last 10 years. That is why I made sure I was getting Heated/Cooled leather seats in my new car. Now, of course I will have to get remote start just to cool the car before I get into it. Anyone know if remote start comes with the new Mustang? Many new cars have it standard, but I didn't see it listed. If not, perhaps I can have it added by the dealer or aftermarket? Any opinions?

I hope that the remote start feature also starts the heated/cooled seats. Or rather I can say, I hope the heated/cooled seats on/off settings are saved when the car is turned off.

In my dodge avenger, soon as the car is turned off it does not remember if the seat heaters were on or not. So in the winters you can't pre-warm the seats when you start the car remotely. Slight annoyance, but with leather in Arizona summers - I REALLLY hope I can have the cooled seats going remotely before I get in :)

If that is the case, I think we will both be hardwiring the seats to ON for cooling ;) (Not much need for heated seats for either of us, ever.) I wonder if the 2014 Mustangs came with remote start standard or as an option. Anyone know?

I doesn't look like remote start is impossible for a manual, here is an article that I found that shows how to do it after market:
http://www.mobileedgeonline.com/can-i-get-a-remote-car-starter-on-a-manual-transmission/ Does Ford even offer remote start in any of their cars?

Okay, so I Googled my last question and found Ford does, but only on automatic transmissions. This is the system for 2014 Mustangs:
http://accessories.ford.com/remote-start-bi-directional-100-series-8833.html

I may have to go 3rd party for a remote start for a manual transmission. Anyone already have one on a manual transmission?

This is one of the reasons I chose AT and I've only driven MT pretty much all my life. Having the remote start is a nice feature,my friends challenger has it.. and him being able to start up his car from the third floor where we work and it being "cooled" by the time we get in his car is nice to have in florida.

I've wanted to do this on previous manuals, but never did. I'm not sure why they are using the "opening the door" method when you could have it lock the door and if it gets unlocked, do the same thing. It seems to me that it would be a lot easier to detect if the door is locked or not, but maybe they are keying off of the interior lighting instead of a switch on the door.

A friend of mine had an old Toyota Pickup with Manual Transmission.

He tried to start it up while inside a building. Got outside and found out he had left it in gear. Took out a chain link fence!

There are 2 actually 19 x 9 & 19 x 9.5. If you go to www.tirerack.com there is the 2015 mustang selection already there

If you leave your car in gear like most people when parked you would not be able to use remote start... imagine your car in a parking garage 3 floors up, you might find it later on the street below, lol

That would be bad.
The system would have to be fool proof to even consider it.

There is no way an auto start would be able to tell it's in gear since it is a mechanical aspect of the car. I would love it too but on sports cars I love manuals with the exception of Audi since their transmission is stellar with the S tronic paddle shifted and automatic systems even in my true dream car the R8. There seems to be no difference in fuel economy versus Ford where that has additional cost, weight and a toll on fuel economy even though it is minimal.

How much did the car total at, if you don't mind me asking? I'm considering the exact same except Navigation and my dealer just barely got pricing, according to them. Thanks!

There is an excellent pricing Excel spreadsheet stored on Google Docs that you can download. It is referenced in the first post of this thread.
