Thought I was getting to the end of the process, but my car has been awaiting shipment for over a week now. The Blend date was June 11, 2019. The Vehicle Order Tracking Site still says delivery on July 5, 2019. The In-Transit button, says Est 09 days...Really thinking my car will not be there this Friday. As I said in previous posts, this is the first car I've EVER ordered in my life and it was a really special feeling. With the delays, I'm assuming due to the Steering Wheel Issue, it's been a long wait and now it appears it will be a bit longer. Just wish I knew for sure when it will be. It's no longer a joyful experience and I just want to get it over with. Not the way someone should go into a new car.

I really appreciate everyones post telling their stories and how things are going. Really happy that I found this forum. Thanks for allowing me to whine a bit...

I ordered mine on February 18th, they told me 8 to 10 weeks, my car was built last week 6/25 the edd to the dealer was moved up to 7/9. It’s a good thing this car is just going to be a toy because the wait has been excessive. I’ve bought about 20 new cars since 1985, I’ve only special ordered 2. The other car I had in 2 months. I’m not sure if it’s the dealer or Ford. But I know the wait will be worth it..

Let me help you with that. My order date was 2/13, build date 3/21, EDD 4/28, Delivered 4/18. My dealer also told me 8 to 10 weeks. It was 9 weeks and a 1 day I drove it home.

Picked up yesterday, have been learning to drive the 6 speed with a bit of troubles. I think I leave my foot at the engagement point for too long and start to put gas, because I definitely smell my clutch burning. A bit frustrating but overall I'm in love with the car and am so happy it is finally here!

All new clutches smell. You'll get the hang of it.

Curious how/when you all got your build date? Was it in advance of your actual build date or was it only after the build actually started? Ordered mine on 5/18 and got my vin within a week. Also got an EDD date of 8/10 a while back but no other updates on the tracking website since then. I figured if they gave me a vin and an EDD date they must have some idea when they are planning on building it but the website hasn’t been updated with new info in a while.

Patience is a virtue, right?

I ordered mine 2/18, I didn’t get the Vin until late April, I had to call Ford to get the build week, but on the order tracker it said it would be delivered in July. I’d call Ford and see if they can tell you , if you can get your window sticker, there should be blend date with that you can tell the date, my car had a blend date of 6/25 and it was actually finished on the 26 th.. it will be worth the wait

Ordered 4/13 ... the website shows In Production 6/24 and it's been sitting on Awaiting Shipment for the last few weeks. Thought I had waited a very long while until I came across this thread while searching for news about production delays! Guess I have some more time to go ... just checked the window sticker and blend shows 6/24

Well, if it's at "Awaiting Shipment", then it's done, QC'd, and sitting in the yard at Flat Rock waiting for a train.

Mine sat at "Awaiting Shipment" for about a week after it was finished, sat in the rail yard for a week after it went to "In Transit" before it started moving, and then took about a week to get to the regional distribution center in East Brookfield. It sat there for 3 days waiting for a car carrier, then showed up at the dealer.

You're getting close.

Yeah, last week it said it was "In Transit" and gave me an arrival date of 7/18 which I totally did not believe ... now when I check it's back to "Awaiting Shipment" and has an arrival date of 7/24.

Like you said ... "getting close!" My garage is getting lonely being so empty.
