I'm just curious how much my car will cost after Xplan. Red GT - Premium - Nav.
Here is the direct link to that spreadsheet. Configure it yourself and see.

Well, I ordered a silver Mustang GT premium with 401a, performance pkg, enhanced security pkg for 39097. There is no need for nav since cellphone works great anyways, there is a camera system already std so no need for reverse park assist, besides, I already know how to park :-). Prices may vary from dealers for an xplan.. I think there is a small charge? Usually there is no haggling with an xplan. The guy I worked with is awesome

No, but my dealer told me my check is refundable, and that they would not cash it. Ford service can see the order of the two Mustangs that were ordered on 520. And the dealership has a full record of my order. I've called both several times, so I am comfortable that it is my car on order. I think I am just being a bit anxious and impatient. 125 days and counting... (give or take a month) :kickrock:
Now that some of you had started the countdown, I had to go get a countdown timer myself. I set mine for Nov 1 though, just to make it tolerable if the delivery date is after October 1st. Hopefully this way, the timer will never have to be bumped up.

TBH, the wait until October won't be too terrible, as we're all waiting. It's really really really gonna suck when someone comes on here saying they took delivery of theirs, then someone else, then someone else... The time it takes between the first delivery and when mine is delivered is going to be a little rough. Hopefully only a week or two, and not a month or two. I'll start off like :headbonk: then move on to :frusty:

I thought the same thing and then read a local news story about how a 1 year old was run over at a softball game. Made me think twice about getting the sensors again (my 2013 has them), just for that little extra safety.

I have the old style camera in the mirror which is too small and I find myself using that, the sensors and turning my head like the "old days". I'm sure the 8" screen will make it less of an issue, but for a few hundred, I think it'll be worth it to get the sensors.

If you get the 401a and gt premium... it already has the bliss and cross traffic alert

Correct. Seems weird to me that cross-traffic alert doesn't just automatically come with the rear sensors in the "Reverse Assist Package", but oh well.

The rear sensors are for close quarters parking to keep you a safe distance from whatever you are backing into, there's a rear camera, I think you should be able to use that, reverse park assist is just a means of alert, the car is not going to stop itself . At this point is good to really learn about how to park

I usually back into park spaces, truck especially using rear view mirror and my side mirrors... Never had a problem, ever! Plus I can also back a trailer, better yet an 18 wheeler too! Those don't have reverse park assist BUT in the bliss and cross traffic alert there IS sensors in the rear to determine cross traffic... that is also posted on the mustang site from Ford and the 2015 Mustang fliers they are circulating

Also a good thing is make sure there is nothing behind your car... its unfortunate a one year old got run over but where the hell were the parents? Driver distractions? There are alot of factors at play there

I'm sure there were plenty of factors at play. I'm not a newbie to parking nor do I need to learn how to, LOL. I'm 38 and was driving long before any of these features were available in vehicles. I just like to have extra safety stuff in place to make sure that I can see/hear everything.

Everyone has had a moment or two in their lives where they've been distracted or something has shot out behind their car while backing up somewhere. $300 for a little extra piece of mind is worth it, IMO.

I never owned a vehicle with camera or sensors. I ordered the sensors because I think I would still use the mirrors more than looking at the screen backing up. If the sensor goes off I know I need to make sure nothing is there. Unless you only stare at the screen you would never know.

I forgot to mention another thing too. It looks like there may be less rear visibility on the 2015's than on the current models. The camera in my wife's Escape has a good wide angle on it, so that, plus mirrors, plus sensors is a nice safe approach IMO.

Exactly, it's just an aid, not an active park assist (no park me buttons) cross traffic will alert you when you have that typical ass clown that likes to haul ass through the lot especially Wal-Mart's lol
