2015 Line Lock Option.

I'm coming from AWD cars where burnouts were a bit LOL, so excuse my ignorance when I ask how is this performed with a manual transmission car? What gear should the car be in? How do you keep it from stalling out?

The brake is held by this function, all you do is stick it in first and let the clutch go. It will keep it held for 15 seconds so you can do a nice smokey burnout!

LOL I agree, but you have to admit that this is one of the coolest options Ford has ever incorporated on a factory ride!

I remember reading somewhere that a set of stock tires will last through 18 linelocks.

Unfortunately yes, but it is only if you use it and wreck the car during "racing"

but what constitutes "1 linelock"? a 30 second hold, 15 second, 1 min?

You can also hit the OK button on the steering wheel anytime from beginning it to the 15 sec mark to return the brakes to normal.

Yes, the countdown timer will be displayed and the brakes will return to normal one the 15 sec's is up.
