A/C NOW ON MY 2015 GT IS BLOWING WARM/HOT AIR IN ALL VENTS AT ALL TIMES WITH NORMAL/SINGLE/NO CLIMATE CONTROL A/C. AND, AFTER HAVING IT JUST OVER 11 YEARS, WITH 88K MILES ON IT, WITHOUT IT EVER GOING TO ANY SHOP FOR ANYTHING MECHANICALLY MAJOR, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I DID TAKE IT TO A SHOP AS I CAN'T FIX IT MYSELF WITHOUT A LOT OF ADVICE/HELP/TRAINING ON HOW TO FIX IT & WITHOUT ANY TOOLS TO FIX THE A/C PROBLEM WITH. I ENDED UP SPENDING $200 FOR A FORD DEALERSHIP TO TELL ME THERE'S A LINE LEAKING THAT THEY WILL FIX FOR ANOTHER $800 & I LOOKED UP THAT PART# ON FORD PARTS.COM, & THE LINE, & OR TUBE ASSEMBLY, THEY SAY IS LEAKING, WOULD ONLY COST ME, WITH MY ONLINE DISCOUNT, ABOUT $58, BUT THEY SAY IT COSTS $138?? AND WHEN THE SERVICE TECH TOLD ME IT WOULD COST ME $200, IN THE FIRST PLACE, JUST TO DIAGNOSE MY A/C SYSTEMS' PROBLEM, I THOUGHT HE WAS JOKING, UNTIL I REALLY HAD TO PAY IT TO GET MY CAR BACK. AND THAT WAS WITHOUT IT BEING FIXED YOU KNOW. BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I GET PAID NEXT TIME IN A WEEK OR SO & CAN BARELY THEN AFFORD TO PAY THE $800 TO HAVE THEM FIX IT YOU KNOW!!! SO DOES ANYONE READING THIS KNOW A GREAT/RELIABLE/TRUSTWORTHY "CAR" "A/C" "REPAIR" SHOP IN HOUSTON THAT WILL PROPERLY/AFFORDABLY FIX MY SUPPOSED A/C LINE THAT'S LEAKING??? BECAUSE I NEED ONE NOW AROUND THE 77042 AREA ESPECIALLY THAT PEOPLE READING THIS KNOW THEY CAN REALLY TRUST TO GET THIS FIXED FAST & AFFORDABLY & RIGHT!!! P.S.-I ALSO PLUGGED IN MY GOOD UNDER THE DASH PROBLEM READER WHICH THREW OUT NO DTC CODES!!! IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME WHERE TO GO FOR HELP WITH THIS, PLEASE TELL ME WHERE IMMEDIATELY AFTER READING THIS YOU KNOW!11 AS I NEED HELP WITH THIS A.S.A.P!!! P.S.S.-THE OTHER LAST WORSE PART OF THIS, IS THAT I HAVE AN ENDURANCE SUPREME EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE CONTRACT I PAY $ 137.50/MONTH FOR, THAT, OF COURSE, COVERS 7 MAJOR A/C PARTS, "BUT NO DAMN A/C LINES," WHICH IS "ALL MESSED-THE-F_CK-UP!!!"

First, stop typing in all capital letters. It's extremely difficult to read.
As for the A/C. That price doesn't seem all that bad to me. Are they giving you credit for the diag toward the repair? The bare bones to repair are replace the line, vacuum the system and charge the system with refrigerant and oil and verify that it is holding pressure. Doesn't sound like a lot but I'd expect it would take a tech 1-2 hours all in. Plus materials and the equipment is far from cheap.
Finally, you should consider self insuring the repairs. You have never taken the car to a shop and yet you've been paying $137/per month for, what, 8 year since the factory warranty ended? That's over $13,000. That's insane.
Good luck finding somewhere significantly less expensive...

Caps Lock ain’t where it’s at man. Good thing I had a few bourbons at dinner tonight otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to read all that

Anyway, $800 feels about right for the fix. The Ford dealers I go to for service will apply the diagnostic fee towards repairs if they find the issue and you have them fix it (if not, you’re out the $200).

And always read the exclusions in those extended warranties before you buy one. That’s where they get you. Every. Single. Time.

***FIRST OF ALL - "I TYPE IN ALL CAPS AS IT'S EASIER FOR ME, AS A cancer "(SURVIVING)"/disabled "VETERAN" TO TYPE THAT WAY BECAUSE I USE A WIRELESS MOUSE & AN ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD, AS I DON'T SPEND ALL MY TIME SITTING & TYPING ON A DAMN A_S COMPUTER & TO SWITCH FROM UPPER & LOWER CASE CONSTANTLY, FOR ME, IS ALSO A DAMN NIGHTMARE!!!"***
But I really appreciate the reply. "And MY Endurance extended warranty "WILL" "REALLY" "HELP" When my timing chain/water pump/transmission/electrical, all other "expensive to repair," "especially," at a "ford" "dealership," "parts" "go" "out," "YOU" "KNOW," especially," as I have around 88k miles on my car. right now, &, I know it's insane, but I thought it was really going pay for itself, in the end, & or, in the near future, since I always drive it hard, & it's 11 years old, in this "new" "plastic/electric/aluminum/"fake-a_s" world??" "Guess I was wrong, since the first time I had to use it, is now, &, it doesn't even cover any of the a/c lines, when it should. "Maybe I need to "CANCEL" it, & "GET ALL OF MY MONEY BACK NOW??" "I also recently even renewed my contract with them, but couldn't afford the higher monthly premium payments to get the better coverage plan they do have, that would of probably "HELPED" "ME" out "MORE," in this case!!!" "And so maybe I need to call them you know, & see if it's not too late now, to update my coverage/plan to one that would cover the expensive cost of the a/c lines being replaced, & flushed, & filled with new freon, at the correct pressure, etcetcetc??!!!
P.S.-What shop would you recommend instead of the DAMN dealership???

Got it now with the caps lock. "Guess I'll have to suffer with the ford dealership doing the work where at least they know what they're doing with my ford car god-willing & if they really "SCREW"-"IT"-"ALL"-"UP," in any way, "(I CAN & I WILL SUE THEM ALL)," & (I WILL "WIN" "WIN" "WIN)!!!"

I hope it's only one of the pressure lines and not the evaporator core. Like many others who have 2015 -16 Mustangs, I had to replace mine. I'd ask the service writer if the tech leak tested the evaporator also. You can check this yourself by taking a drive for a few minutes with the a/c on the lowest temperature setting and your fan on high, blowing through the upper vents. Then let your car sit overnight with the windows up. In the morning, get in your car, close the door and sniff around. You may or may not smell the refrigerant. R-134a is heavier than air so you could sniff around the floorboard. I'm a retired hvac/r master tech (industrial/commercial) so I had the leak testers and tools to check and repair mine, but I could smell the refrigerant when I got in the car. Good luck.

If I’m not mistaken, depending on which part of the US, the current Ford Dealership Labor rate is in excess of $100 per hour. That’s excluding any other fees such as parts, or possibly other misc. fees etc….

I had to replace my compressor and belts because the compressor froze on my
17, but luckily it was covered under the extended warranty. Really lucky because the
next summer I had to do it again. That time it replaced because it was less than a year so it was warranty on previous repair.
And living in FL you NEED ac.
