I wouldn't mind one of these on my 2017 in aluminum and blacked out. That blue paint reminds me of a cheaply painted bed set frame.

I see included in the box are nuts and bolts. Do you have to drill holes for them or do they match up with existing bolts? On the introduction paragraph the last words are "maintain performance". This would be great if they are suggesting this unit will stop limp mode.

There are two existing studs that the front mounts slip onto, you use the two nuts provided. There are two threaded holes towards the rear where the bolts provided are used. Very straight forward.

I'm still not sure if it's made from Steel or SS. There is a bit of exposed metal where the front mounts are bolted to the scoop body. Waiting to see if corrosion sets in before I mount it.

Check it with a magnet, most grades of stainless are non-magnetic or only slightly magnetic.

I got a reply from Isaac at Ford Performance. He said that their system is currently providing an ETA of 12/19/16. He hopes the date will be accurate.

Any of us who work on developing new products know how problems can crop up. I think since they aren't saying 6 weeks anymore that means they are getting close and the remaining barriers are relatively small. I would assume the date might still slip but hopefully something will be ready before the end of January at the latest.

Yes, the MGW and Shelby American transmission scoop will go on as well. Get in there once and be done

I didn't even ask about the core since I can probably sell my stock transmission for more money privately than I would get for the core return. My guess is it would work very well in a kit car, retro mod, or non-voodoo S550

Ford Performance has been saying they will sell the 2016 track pack transmission as one kit/PN and the transmission cooler and lines as a second kit. I don't know exactly what is in either of those kits, but I have an inquiry in to Ford Performance about both of them. My assumption is Isaac's date refers to when the final information will be released. The date is close enough now I'm just going to wait a couple weeks and see what happens. It's in the teens today so my transmission is staying plenty cool without any extra radiators.
