The "I'll take my business elsewhere" threat is about as hollow as it comes.
Tell that to gateway, HP, Blackberry, American motors, Saturn, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and thousands of others. It just takes time.

Look at what a bad launch is doing to Camaro.

Poorly executed flagship cars do have consequences. It erodes confidence you can get the cheaper cars right.

I know this is a public forum, and anyone can throw in their opinion but I'm getting sick of scrolling through 3 or 4 pages of arguments from a guy who doesn't have a stake in the game. I chime in on this thread because I want to keep myself informed on whats happening with this situation not read about how I'm an idiot for buying a Tech car.

Enough is enough. We get it.

YOU may of not said you want it for free. But read this thread start to finish and tell me that is not said a lot.

In any conversation descenting(pretty sure that is spelled wrong) opinions are of value.

As a car guy I want any car owner with issues to get them resolved. I also have been on forums since the late 90s and I know what happens.

I think I saw someone sell their car because of the LIMP issue who never experience it them selves. LEMERs has never driven his car.

If you approach FP and say you want a solution and you are willing to pay for it (maybe assuming you get warranty coverage) or whatever

OR

If you say my car is defective I was mislead I want a fix for free

OR

You threaten a class action suit

Do you think each of those approaches will net the same results?

Im just saying what other people think.
Im not sure how you quote me then the respond to something I didnt say. impressive.
Review your first post, it'll answer your question in the second.

That's why I pretty much respond to him with memes

I don't think ford is going to fix anyone's car. It has been pointed out that too few people are affected by this issue. At best, and the jury is out, you may get a ford sanctioned kit that will enable some track activity. Calling ford performance in masses of 15 probably isn't going to help your cause.

Here are a few thoughts and suggestions.

If you are able to get your car to go limp on the road, document it and pursue a lemon law angle.

If your car is not going limp on the streets, why not sell your tech car and move up to a car that was designed for more extensive track use?

Don't get angry at me :ninja:, but some of you guys are getting really upset.

What it may cost to add coolers to your car just might be the price difference in a '17 give or take. I am seeing MSRP deals or very close to it on the forum from time to time. Judging by the turnout for the boycott or mass call in, there are only about 15 of you. I've probably seen about as many MSRP leads go by in the past.

Others have done exactly that. Mattlqx traded his tech in for a '17 and he made out pretty well. If extended track time is that important, you may want to consider it.

NO issues is no ISSUE. Can you say you have 0?

My experience is when you have a Toyota and you say you have had no issues you have had "0" issues. When you have had a Chevy and say you have had no issues what is often really being said you have a couple but they are minor.
Ready you don't know the meaning of no ?

If years of unreliable cars, safety recalls, and a poor dealer network havent done it. This wont, this wont even register.

I feel bad for the users who limp on the street, because the people who want to track their techs have made this a shit show. You want FORD to give you the coolers you didn't pay for FREE so you can track you cars? GTFO

LEMERS insert meme
We are well aware where you stand on this topic and you definitely have the right to an opinion, but that does not mean you are right or that your opinion is worth a shit. With that said, we also have or own opinions and here is mine. If FORD puts out a $60k car with the name Shelby on it, it better damn well be track capable. Did they say it was track capable? YES, and they advertised it that way. They didn't say only our R and Track Pack gt350s are track capable and the other 2 are just novelties. If it wasn't meant to be tracked then why put a Track mode option on it? Hell even the Magna-Ride suspension was a waste for that matter. And, another thing, I think it is pretty embarrassing on Ford's behalf to sell a car with the GT350 name on it, that is less capable than the Mustang GT on the track.

1. The tech pack is not the flagship car for ford. Hell, its not even the flagship car for the GT350 lineup. It's an interesting engineering exercise for them. Although not in price or stature, the F150 is actually the Ford flagship vehicle. Everything else they build is to meet CAFE standards or to create sales in Europe.

2. A few internet complaints about an issue that has affected less than 100 people /= HP, Blackberry, or Oldsmobile. Even look at samsung. They have phones literally blowing up and complete recall issued, and its no big deal overall. Perception is reality, but the perception of this is 100% non-existent outside of a few internet forums. If you think that this issue is even 1/100th of 1% as important as the downfall of Gateway, then you are delusional.

I fixed mine back in April. About $1000 in parts and a days labor. Here's a view from right wheel well of the remote pump. It's on a plate bolted to the K member, It's directly below the starter. RB Gear pump , OEM cooler, duct, 15' of AN line some fittings.

Appreciate the info Screamer and to all the others that trailblazed and shared their experiences, procedures...
If, after my warranty expires, there's no solution from Ford, I'm going this route:thumbsup:
