Well it's just a gut feeling I have, but I do not see Ford, or Ford Performance doing any thing about the coolers. I may be wrong, and I hope so, I know there are a lot of you guys with base 350 and Tech 350 that really want to track your cars. And I'm also calling ford. John

:ford: let us guys know something on this.... Or this could be my last Ford, but I'm sure you do not care!
I tend to agree with John on the cooler issue. The number of concerned owners are just not there. I hope I'm wrong and will still call no matter what. This was my last new ford. From now on I buy used with a clean car fax + a clean FORD SERVICE record.

Rear Diff cooler for tech/base

Excuse me if this has been discussed but is the rear diff cover on tech cars the same as track/r cars?
Is it ready to accept cooling lines and coolers?

Let's say that Ford fixes all 3742 cars at an estimated rate of $5k per car (fords cost not whole sale).

That's 18.7 Million which still gives them an overall profit of $10.18 billion
From the response here, looks like a fraction would go for any fix offered.

Also, seems to me the members here have vowed to bring at least that much business to other manufacturers over this fiasco...

The "I'll take my business elsewhere" threat is about as hollow as it comes.

reputations make or break companies. This issue might not be the straw, but it could be a start.

If years of unreliable cars, safety recalls, and a poor dealer network havent done it. This wont, this wont even register.

I feel bad for the users who limp on the street, because the people who want to track their techs have made this a shit show. You want FORD to give you the coolers you didn't pay for FREE so you can track you cars? GTFO

Where is Mercury? What about Ford letting go of its holdings in multiple companies?

Yes, I know getting out of other car companies kept them out of the "bailout" but that wasn't planned. They were generating cash holdings with isn't always sign of good times.

I left BMW for Ford much to the surprise of a lot of my friends. It won't hurt BMW in the short run, but a lot of people have defected to the GT350 from the M3/4 from what I've seen. It could start to hurt in the long run and I'm sure they don't like it.

^This, if they want to keep these new found customers then should be worried about their reputation.

Define a lot. The M3/M4 sold almost 30,000 cars in 2015. That is on pace to rise an estimated 40% for 2016, so that would be 42,000 cars in 2016. So, if EVERY single GT350 owner would have otherwise been an M3/M4 buyer in 2016, you're talking 12%. That would be big. But, you're probably talking about more like 200 buyers that would have otherwise been an M3/M4 buyer. That's less than 1/2 of 1%. BMW doesn't give 2 shits about that.

But now because if the Tech issue with GT 350s? are you leaving FORD for??

BMW has made horrible unreliably cars for 20 years they are doing fine especially since everyone leases them new.

As enthusiasts you have very few options. 911 are nice but expensive and you have the IMS issues on the old ones(i dont know if that hurt sales). Toyota makes nothing of interest except maybe the GT 86 which is under powered. Honda hasnt made a sports car in years. The WRX STI is over priced with a 10 year old engine.

If you go domestic they all have issues with reliability.

Im just happy someone is making something that is still interesting. Thats how desperate its gotten

I never said I wanted a fix for free...In reality, I asked for all three coolers when I ordered in June '15 and was willing to pay for them. I was told no, Techs cannot have any coolers. Me and dealer were surprised it came with one.To this day, there's been no explanation. However, I digress. If your car isn't affect Firestarter, why bother with this thread at all?

I'm not asking Ford to pay for my coolers for FREE, I'm willing to PAY and get them put on at a Ford dealer that Ford will warranty, and if I did have them on my car I'm not going to track my car anyhow, I have seen lots of race tracks, with my old race car. And no my car has not gone into the Limp mode on the street, but if and when it does it's gone, even if I have almost give it away, or take a Big loss on it, it just money and you can not take it with you. John

YOU may of not said you want it for free. But read this thread start to finish and tell me that is not said a lot.

In any conversation descenting(pretty sure that is spelled wrong) opinions are of value.

As a car guy I want any car owner with issues to get them resolved. I also have been on forums since the late 90s and I know what happens.

I think I saw someone sell their car because of the LIMP issue who never experience it them selves. LEMERs has never driven his car.

If you approach FP and say you want a solution and you are willing to pay for it (maybe assuming you get warranty coverage) or whatever

OR

If you say my car is defective I was mislead I want a fix for free

OR

You threaten a class action suit

Do you think each of those approaches will net the same results?

Im just saying what other people think.
