Serious question.

If you had the ability to get a 17 Convenience Pack for MSRP and they would give you $53k (same as CarMax) for your trade would you take? I'm weighing that option instead of going the cooler route.
I wouldn't. If it was full price for what I paid for my Tech (MSRP) plus the '17 at MSRP, then I would go for it.

I would especially if you get a sales tax credit. If you don't plan on tracking then I probably wouldn't.

If you absolutely want to track the car, and money isn't that big of an issue, then I would do it. But did you pay over MSRP for the 2016? Did you pay sales tax? are you willing to eat all that loss to get the new car? I just wasn't.

I think FP should get kudos for trying to help us Tech Pack owners with the cooling issue, but yeah, two? Also, let's not get too whiny while they're trying to put the cooler kit itself together. We don't want to slow that down.

I signed up for a track day and I'm going to run the Tech. F*** it. Sick of feeling like I can't do what I want with the car. Should be in the 60's so I might be able to skate away with a full day of 15 min runs.

Yes I get the tax credit an ultimately plan to track it.

I paid MSRP for my 16 and have $2k in negative equity. Pretty much the cost of adding a trans cooler installed. Now to be fair I'm also loosing the five payments I've already made.

Uh seriously? What help have we gotten? Nothing official and only a rumored incomplete cooling kit. And now who knows when they'll get more transmissions in for those that want to go that route.

Yup, they're really helpful.

I think your 350 tech car is worth more $53K. Try the Kelly blue book instant Cash value or trade value .Just to see where it's @. When I traded a Vette in I got $4777 more then local dealers were willing to give. However the ford dealer has to be in the program with KBB. It gives the dealer the option to use that value no matter what.
Hope this helps.

For sure go for it. I tracked early in the year at Pocono and my tech soldiered through with no limp mode. I had a great time.
You going to NJMP? I'm signed up for Sunday.

You make it seem like this is either something that is our fault or an issue they found out about only after they delivered them. Geez, it's amazing they were able to help out the '17 owners by fixing all their cars to begin with.

Maybe you're misreading what I'm saying. I guess it all boils down to the distinction between FoMoCo and Ford Performance, and who made the decisions about how to package the 15/16 cars. My guess is that FP had a hand in the design of the GT350 but it was FoMoCo that made the decisions about options. Don't get me wrong, I'm no happier about the cooling issue than anyone else participating in this discussion. My point was, someone at FP made the decision to heavily discount the transmissions, but yeah, there were only two. Btw, Epiphany announced the availability of the transmissions on September 13th...

I like to disassemble things.
And I was happy to see it available from a vendor at such a reasonable price point. But if available means "only two in the warehouse" then color me not so happy. There could be an availability issue but that would be hard to swallow given the rather large window of opportunity they've had to act on this.

Then I would do it. Move on and enjoy the car and don't sit on this thread and wait for a solution from Ford that could very well never happen. If you are not feeling the Ford Love I would get a C7 Z51 Vette. I am not a gold chain type, lean more toward Mullets when I had hair, but I drove one on track and it was pretty darn impressive.
