got a 20 gt 10 PP1 car. Already flex tuned, got a set of LTH w/HF cats coming for the car, my question is the air intake. Is it really worth the 300+bucks to add it? I watch my IATS on the car and it seems typically speaking theyre only about 3-4 degrees above ambient temps. I understand its also about flow more than temps. We are adding the ability to get more air out so why not right? Is there really going to be THAT much of a gain to make it worth it or no? I've also already got some of the rear suspension links to stiffen the rear for launches.

Im not sure what my expected power levels are going to be at? Car currently dyno'd at 425/425 on a crappy e85 mix, and minimal tuning. We kinda just threw the tables in and made a few slight changes.

Keep the stock intake, add drop-in filter. Start working in other areas like suspension.

No it's not worth it, the stock Gen 3 intake is very well designed and flows alot of air with a simple drop in filter as mentioned.

You might gain a bit of overall flow with like a PMAS or JLT, but you will lose alot in terms of heat control for your IATs. Not going to be worth the $400 investment.

If you enjoy a turbulent MAF reading and possible stalling issues by all means, go with the JLT. Save your money and stick with the stock intake and get yourself a drop in filter and call it a day.

ive got a really good tuner whos done plenty of these intakes without that issue. Kind of surprised to see someone say that about the JLT honestly.

People have these intakes up for sale all of the time. I've done my own testing with it and it's no better than most of the intakes out there including the stock 18 box. The only one I've had good experience with is the CP-E Icebox and the MAF curve they provide. It was real smooth and looked amazing under the hood. Temps didn't rise fast like an open intake but they also recovered very quickly due to the design. Only reason I got rid of it is because I'm going turbo and I have a buddy that wanted me to get it powder coated in Oxford White for his wife's car since it's a show car. Stock 18 intake, drop in filter, ported 2018 manifold on my 17 now until I get the turbo put on.

Stock cai will keep iats down better than any open element cai and have the smoothest maf curve which if you're going to run Flex is very important. Gains are minimal if any from the hardware since gen 3 flows well. Just add a drop in filter and focus on other areas.
