17 GT Roush CAI Modification Question

I was curious if anyone tried to modify the 2018 Roush CAI Cover Window for the previous years open box design CAI. This would cure the water getting in the Airbox possibly? I havn’t seen the dimensions on the 18’ to support this, throwing it out there as a potential “I’m really bored, winter weather sucks, and need to be in the garage Mod.”

The lower part is the same across the board from 2015+ and the cover fits just fine. Check this thread.

1318-9643HC-S is the part number for the cover. I'm curious of whether this affects the sound much or not because it is a closed box setup then.

Thanks for the info. Not concerned so much about the sound personally as I am high AIT in the summer and this sounds like an option to keep the temps down.
