So I received my FRPP PP2 and when I opened it, it was pretty obvious my CAI had been installed and removed from another vehicle. The filter did not look new and there are scratches and marks on the CAI that indicate prior installation. I'll deal with the vendor on that.

But two other things I notice are a gap where the intake meets the tube, and a knockout hole at the bottom of the intake, which may get covered as part of installation.

So for anyone else who got a GT350 CAI, are either of these things normal?

I had one vendor here who was selling me used parts too. Best of luck getting it resolved.

I don't have the gap by the screws like you have but that bottom gap is for water drain if it ends up in the box, which it eventually will with the hood vent being right over the filter.

Spoke with a friend who has installed and he doesnt have the issues so it might be assembled incorrectly. As far as evidence of previous installation, Ill speak to vendor first and give them chance to resolve before posting.
