If people would just do as we say here “damn, that’s outrageous, I’m not paying it”, then these vehicles would sit and rot and absurd prices would eventually come back to reality.

I don’t get it at all for the ridiculous used or new car prices…. Is it some sort of panic buying and we’re not aware of what people are panicking about?

It’s not just crazy pricing on S550’s, it’s on a lot of other vehicles across all makes/models/years…

Its supply and demand and some people have lots of discretionary cash, thats all there is to it.

I had a dealership try to get me to trade my 2020 GT 350 for a new GT 500. They wanted 130k for it and were offering me 5k more than I paid for mine on trade. Not gonna happen. I almost told the salesman that he was Fing crazy.

So over $30K ADM ?
I was offered $52K for my 2016 (whipple/built motor/upgraded clutch /CF drive shaft and supporting fuel upgrade ) trade for a “used“ base GT500 with 50 miles . its on consignment and seller wants $91K .

Sticker was $80K but I hear he paid $94k so I don’t blame him for wanting his money back .

I am honestly not surprised, I was negotiating a black GT500 which had a $30K ADM and managed to bring them down however, I ended up finding my current Oxford White GT500 which had the Recaros and IMO flowed better with the black components.

Prior to me buying mine, it had a 20K ADM however, since I traded in my Z06, I made enough and negotiated the dealer down to end up paying no ADM. I previously thought I paid $5K however, I looked over my paperwork and actually only paid MSRP.

Dealers are taking full advantage of the chip situation, I've been to a few dealers looking for a daily driver and "normal" cars are being marked up. Needless to say, I just walk away as I am not paying ADM for a regular daily driver.
