I am a fan of station wagons, I would definitely have bought one.
A 65 Malibu wagon is still on my list.

I’m imagining that sedan as a mid 60’s police interceptor with dog dish hubcaps and all, maybe in classic CHP or LAPD black and white livery.

An alternate reality 1-Adam-12. πŸ˜‚

I like the wagon. I can see the influence on the Fairmont

I remember reading about the SN95 Mustangs back when I was in the automotive industry, the β€œJenner”, the β€œSchwarzeneggerβ€œ, and the β€œRambo”. If they made it the Jenner, then true to, β€œthe secretary’s” car” ? ;-}

While I’m glad Ford never changed the Mustang to FWD (wow would torque steer be a bitch), I had a β€˜94 Probe GT, and loved it. Fun, smooth v6, great styling and handling. Looked like a baby 8-series BMW of the day.

Had a 92 Probe GT 2.5 4V, same hp rating at my 82 GT 5.0 2V but much better gas mileage. Fun car. The Ford archive website has a great collection of Mustangs that were never brought to fruition. And the less said about the Bruce Jenner car...well...

I'm not mad at this one, or the 4-eye one in the background... the third one with its face hidden smacks of Monte Carlo.

Don't forget the mid engine boss 429 prototype or the Boss-Shelby mustang that was never finished due to Carrol Shelby leaving Ford in the middle of the project.

Wouldn't mind a Nomad myself. I know it's a Chevy but it is a cool wagon.

No mention of the SN95 Boss concept that the SVT boys made in their free time? That would have been killer one.

This would have been a lot sexier than the production Mustang II

Agreed! Nose reminds me of a Ferrari Mondial, don’t love the rounded slope of the back though.
