Hey guys let me know if this is normal or would a simple re-flash fix this problem. In sport mode sometimes when the car shifts from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th it hesitates and holds back for a few seconds before shifting. It doesn't do it in drive mode only in sport. I've read re flashing the ecu should fix it... opinions welcome. Thanks!

Are you giving it the business during the shifts, or is this happening when cruising? Sport is actually smoother for me than Normal, mostly because it doesn't skip gears.
like as soon as I pull out of the work parking lot cruising

Right after starting up it could be the idle hasn't settled down yet. If it continues after the car is warmed up...

...this.
I think you’re right 100% about the idle. Only when I leave work it happens and I take off legit as soon as I turn it on. Lesson learned

I'm not sure if this is the problem you are seeing, but if you are giving the car any kind of aggressive throttle that results in a downshift in any mode outside of normal and let off on the gas, the transmission will hold that gear forever for engine braking purposes.

That being said, a transmission adaptive reset has always fixed any issues (the 1 or 2 i've actually come across) that i've had.
