If you are looking for a typical car review that talks about the 2015 Mustang’s uprated 5.0 that produces 435 horsepower and 400 lb/ft of torque and its all new IRS rear suspension, this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for a review of the 2015 Mustang with information you’re not going to find elsewhere, then read on…

This last Saturday we were invited to a short, four-hour-long media review of the 2015 Mustang. Placed in the cramped parking lot of the Carbon Beach Club in Malibu were over a dozen 2015 Mustangs, in which all had received a fair share of flogging from automotive journalists over the last week. There was the full gamut of vehicle options available in 5.0 and 2.3-liter EcoBoost form. Needless to say that when we spotted the fully loaded GT Premium with the Performance Package and Recaro seats, we knew where we needed to run to first. We even had a chance to drive around in the all new 2.3-liter EcoBoost automatic.

What’s Really Different on the new 5.0 Powerplant

The 2015 Mustang 5.0 receives a few upgrades to improve fuel economy, torque, and horsepower. Most notably is addition of Charge Motion Control Plates to the intake manifold, revised cylinder heads, and a stronger piston and rod combination.

Awesome, love all the shots of the dash and that beautiful Guard GT in the full article! Can't wait until someone takes one to the track.

Nice read! Interesting statement about the block being unchanged except for the oil filter mount. Wonder what all those pictures were that have been floating around that showed a bit different block for the '15 vs. '14 and earlier....hmmmm

The kind if review I like to see. None of that marketing regurgitation.

Great review. I do wish they would have commented more on the mt-82 updates/changes for 2015.

I've seen lots of references to updated linkage. But only one reference to internal/syncro updates - really wondering if this is true or not. Going to place my order in a week and still not sure about the mt-82.

Not only does it have a couple of mistakes, but it's also a website completely devoted to Mustangs. That's 3 strikes when it would otherwise be 2. I'll take this one with a grain of salt.

This was one of the better reviews! I found their observations on the ecoboost to be particularly interesting.

StangTV said:
Our guess is that the 2.3-liter tune will be worth 40-50 horsepower and 60-70 lb/ft of torque to the wheels, meaning a tune alone will make as much (or more) torque than a new GT.

Yep..going to be interesting and you're going to have a lot of "It's still a 4-cylinder" small pen-s worries.

What I don't understand is they drove the EB and wrote that but then didn't even write anything about their time in the EB and give us their thoughts.

We even had a chance to drive around in the all new 2.3-liter EcoBoost automatic.

Very nice review. Loved the technical discussion and how they organized the review. They did leave out their driving impressions of the Ecoboost, but they will probably get to that in a later article

an intake tune and exhaust will make the ecoboost "run with a GT" and get 32 MPG? Doubt it.

Really dude? How many decades old should we get with the stereotypes. Maybe some people just dont want a muscle car that sounds like a four cylinder. Maybe they dont need th added difficulty of maintaining a turbo car pushing 20PSI of boost either.
