Waiting on a tow. From everything i have read thus far sounds like I may have lost the engine. Strong engine vibration and clanking. Havent driven her in a week and now this : l

Let us know how it goes. I just got my car back from the dealer and I am doing an oil consumption test. My car has used a 1 and 1/2 quarts in the last 3300 miles. No leaks and the catch cans aren't very full at all when I check them.

Hope you get taken care of soon, sorry your weekend started out this way.

@Zitro - man I hope it's not as bad as you are thinking. You may want to PM Hizlibullet, as I remember he appeared to go through something similar

@ Minn - thats about on par with mine (I'm at 7800 miles) There was a thread a few months back where it seemed there were quite a few folks with similar consumption. I just bought some extra oil and am keeping an eye on it for now

Sorry to hear and hope this is not the case. With issues folks have been having, I did ask about the durability of the 350 engines while at Track Attack earlier this week. None of the instructors had a complaint and their gt350s are beat on.

Just got to the dealer and the first thing the service rep did is feel for tread depth. Then he proceesed to say, "you are the guys who races this thing" I questioned him and he said that i had a helmet in the back at a prior visit. Already trying to void my warranty. SmH

Does the dealer know that tracking is one of the reasons why people buy these cars?

God forbid people buy a sports car and drive it aggressively.
Plus how would he know how deep the treads should be without knowing how fast these tires wear?
It's not like he is servicing 350's all day long.

And I'd tow it right to a different dealer.

Say it's only from car show burnouts.

Respectfully, if you really have the potential for a serious problem with your car... Shut your mouth. Posting on an open forum would be the LAST thing I would be doing. Give your dealer and Ford a chance to fix the issue. Feel free to PM me for advice.

If Ford didn't make mustangs to burn rubber off tires then they need to recall them all. What Ford Service was told when they tried to ford my 2011 GT's warranty. That was from the very high ups at Ford that stepped up for me. Thanks Again A. All because the rear tires had 1/8 th of an inch less then the front tires at 11,000 miles and no tire rotation. That dealer sucks that said that.

Thats exactly what I am doing. Not trying to fuel any fires. Just trying to get information on the process. However, the reps reaction to my car was more then uncalled for as he was very aggressive and accusatory. I have bought many cars from this dealer and will speak with the GM in the morning about the individual. I have no doubt, from pasts experience, Ford will take care of my car and me.
