I've done a couple easy, inexpensive things to make the trunk a little easier to live with...Costco storage container($14.99). Lays flat when not being used. I put a couple pieces of Velcro on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. And the touchless trunk closer (2nd photo, upper left) http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25721

Nice!

I put in the cargo net from our T4R (wasn't being used), and tossed in an old Waymat (it's a yoga mat with a rubbery traction side). Works _great_.

I really should pick up one of those closing straps - I kind of convinced myself I could make one cheaper, but that isn't worth the time to put it together vs. a couple of clicks and having it show up at my door :)

I've been wanting to put one of those closing straps on my trunk as well. Always think of buying a doc collar and cutting it up. Didn't know they sell them pre-made. Was wondering if they came with little rings in them to put the mounting screw through. Anyone have a link?

well made. easy install. solid. they work perfectly.

the website appears to have been redesigned so I have no idea how to get to the strap anymore. I'd PM smallfry.

Nice additions!

I bought a cargo net that works great for light stuff like a bag of chips or a pair of shoes: http://smile.amazon.com/Envelope-Trunk-Cargo-FORD-MUSTANG/dp/B00VY468RU

I also have a small 30 or 40-quart Sterilite container from Target that I use to keep heavier items together and prevent them from sliding around. It's a much safer way to transport a 6-pack or a container of milk when you've got 400+ horsepower at your disposal and like taking corners hard. :D

This is what I did for storage of items that never leave the trunk:

For items that are temporary, I now also store some hard sided collapsible grocery 'bags' in the wheel well. When unflattened, they are 'sticky' enough that they don't really slide around.

Great idea with the Velcro. Going to do that with the vert plastic covers in the bag. They keep sliding all over the place in the trunk. Tunau? covers. Don't know how to spell it.

My golf clubs take up most of the trunk - no net needed.

Bought one of the trunk closing handles and it was worth every penny. One of those mods that is satisfying because it's stupid simple but works perfectly.

If I go grocery shopping with the mustang, you can bet that nothing will stay in the bags if I don't tie them up.
