This is the nicest S550 install I've seen yet. If you ever get bored with it I feel like this generation of Mustang is practically begging for a dual 15" infinite baffle setup.
So let me make sure I have this correct. You took the sub from the shaker pro out of the trunk and replaced it with two different subs and 2 amps? How does it sound with still using stock speakers inside the car? This is what I have been waiting for someone to do...Thanks OP!!!
Nice install. Any idea how what your box is in cubic ft? It looks a little large for a sealed enclosure for the type R's but I can't really tell from pictures.
Sal33n - that is correct, I did the same in my Infiniti with the Bose system. The bass does overpower the speakers at times but that's what I like (I have a bass knob too). I love how it sounds. As for clarity of the speakers, they are what they are and I don't have a good ear for telling the differences in better ones.
Wayne - the amps are running about half power so about 500 end each and the subs are 500 each so no need for any battery changes. No dimming lights or anything. When it's time for a new one I will probably get something better but it's not a must.
Cooter - I can try and find out. The box is smaller because the white front is just a piece cut to fit snug in there, the actual box is behind.
Nice.. im going to install my system sometime in the summer.. thinking of doing a custom fiberglass spare tire area install. Dont have a spare tire anyway so i might as well use that space...Lol.
