Woodbine Motosports Ecoboost runs 13.8@103

We took our bone stock Ecoboost 6spd manual to the track last night for some baseline runs.

Ran the car no less then 10 times.

Had a best 60ft of a 1.91. All the other 60fts were in the 2.0-2.2 range. All of the protections the calibration has in it affect the car from run to run but it did run several back to back to back to back high 13.8's.

Our best time was [email protected] with a 2.174 60ft.

The car weighed 3580 with no driver and 1/4 tank of fuel.

There were two 15 GT's at the track as well as another Auto Ecoboost and our car was .5 quicker then the Auto Ecoboost and only .8 behind the fastest GT. All of these cars were bone stock.

This car will go mid to low 13's stock with some traction and I feel that high 12's will be no problem with just a tune. We will be finding that out very soon. :headbang:

Interesting.... I've always been under the impression that the auto would be pretty close to the manual in a straight line, but apparently that's not the case. I'm curious what drive mode it was in and if it needed an extra shift.

Really looking forward to the first tunes.

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised that the manual trapped 5 mph faster than the auto! What were the weather conditions? Thanks for posting your findings!

The Ecoboost will see some impressive tuning gains, so it should bring it within striking distance of a stock GT. That would be quite the tempting car.

Was this done with one of the special drive modes selected? If so, what's the time on the stock drive mode? What will the base drivers be giving up versus premium?

Hi,
that's great getting into 13's 1st time out.
Was the other eco auto stock with 3.15 gears or the PP with the 3.55 gears? The gears should make 3 tenths second faster.

The GT ran 13.03-13.1 @111.87-112.29. This was the Ingot GT with PP.

Any mental notes on whether the other Ecoboost was PP or not? Trying to fathom transmission, gearing or just driver differences.

Were you running premium unleaded too? Possible other car was running regular unleaded? Need to see more of these to get a good expected range out of them I guess.
