Are you going to have posts to integrate factory clips?

Yes and I am thinking this bezel will actually hold the screen outside of its metal enclosure. This would be done to make the screen fit...

That should just be the SD card reader and APIM to support nav.

My apim has nav (according to the vin), but the sd card slot is proving difficult/expensive. I may go junkyard diving.

Question I have been meaning to ask.... How hard is it to detach the pins from the connectors in order to swap them?

Not too bad, but the little tabs holding them in are easy to break. Just lift the tab and pull out the wire.

Yeah I have seen these on ebay and the asking/selling prices are near what a new one costs or even sometimes more. People really need to check what pricing of new stuff is first.

Yea the SD Card reader prices are crazy... Thing is unless you want to go modifying the center console compartment now you need one from a 15 mustang... The mustang does not have av in like the other vehicles so the module is much smaller.

Just got the vin of the vehicle my screen came out of. Mine should come equipped with nav as well! Interestingly though it looks like the escape was totaled at the factory on 4/16/15.

Well good news and bad news.... Good news is my screen arrived! And it can be dissembled to make the screen itself thinner. Problem is it is taller then what will fit... This means that the dash trim (with the 3 vents) will also have to be trimmed to accept the screen... There is a small chance though that there is enough depth between the trim and the circuit board to have it fit underneath Removing the requirement to cut the trim.. I am hoping this is the case...

Dimensions of screen (just LCD, Not entire metal case)
Height: 122mm
Width: 192mm
Depth: 19mm

Hey aggieStang,

You have your OEM base bezel out of the car correct? could you do me a favor and measure the distance between the top of the bezel and the circuit board?

The area in this picture below.

Crisis averted I think!! Using a high tech :D paper depth gauge to fit between the space between the volume knob and center stack bezel I "think" the space between the circuit board and top of the bezel is 22mm. Just barely enough to fit the screen!! Need confirmation though with real measurements from a dissembled bezel.

This means that there will be no modification of the dash trim required.
