I see people ask about upgrading intercoolers a little bit, so here's some pics from a recent datalog that I recorded. I have three screenshots. The first being the charge air temps (CATs) at the beginning of the pull, the second being the CATs in the middle of the pull (and at the lowest maintained temperature drop point during the pull), and the third being the CATs at the end of the pull.
The ambient temperature outside during this pull was 77°. The intercooler wasn't anywhere near cold or the engine freshly started. This was after a 45 minute drive on the interstate at 70+ mph speeds and about 35-40 minutes of cruising/driving around downtown (around 30-40 mph speeds). I could go make pulls on a cold intercooler that'd look even better, but this gives an actual representation of how it would perform in the real world in one of my driving scenarios.
As you can see, the Levels Performance intercooler performs very well. I constantly brag on it to people, but I wanted to share some actual data instead of just throwing my opinion out there. When you compare the price and level of performance you get, you can't beat it.
Update #1:
Just for info, this is the original (Street) design that Nik produced. He now has upgraded versions of the Street and Race which should perform even better.
Update #2:
The size for the updated Levels Street FMIC is 20"x14"X3.5". The size of the new Levels Race FMIC is 20"x17"x3.5".
Update #3:
Nik has added cast endtanks to the new upgrade Street core as well. They look and should perform awesome! It's just another feature to make the Levels FMIC stand ahead of the rest, especially at this price point! See below for pics of the new end tanks!
