If your worried about how hard it is to remove them, it's actually not that bad at all, plus you get a weight reduction because the shutters weigh like 20lbs all together. Not sure the weight of the levels though, I haven't notice any loss of mpg either with the shutters gone. Good luck

Nope, nor should you want to. They are there to help (on a VERY minute level) with mpg.

I got my Levels through VMPTuning. Really glad I went with Levels and really glad I bought from VMP. The price was better than buying direct and it was at my door days before they told me it would be.

I cut the lower half of the shutters off and retained the upper section. so half can be maintained

I mean to each their own, I'm sure yours is great, i guess some do this because of the code? I never had one with mine or even if it's a deep code it's been at ford with new turbo installed and my fmic hanging out the front. No issues no problems, obviously do what's best for u

Yes, to both.

The code that pops doesn't have anything to do with performance though.

No, because you have to remove the shutters.

So, there wouldn't be any adverse effects from running with the code for a few months, right?

I'll be doing the ic in the next month or so and plan to upgrade to Adam's lifetime tune around May.

My vehicle is a 15 model w/50 yr anniversary option. For some reason Ford elected not to install the shutters with this option. Maybe this feature could be reapplied to models with shutters to avoid any issues.

You can if you disconnect the lower section of shutters and remove the actuation arm that moves them. if you do this you can leave the upper shutters in place and plugged in.. Only issue is you have to cut off the lower shutters...
