Bought my base (auto) mustang new back in 2016. After many years of using it for work, family, long road trips I am thinking of retiring it and getting a ct4 blacking as a daily.
But I'm keeping the mustang and I really want a dedicated track car. Something that if I crash into a wall it won't...
I want to go on a 3 or 4 day road trip in my mustang. I don't plan on staying at hotels, instead just sleeping in the car at campgrounds.
My goal is to make my 16gt a long haul road tripper. With the seats folded down I can get a twin size memory foam mattress topper to use as a bed. Luckily my...
I'm in the San Francisco Bay area. My car is about 3 miles or a 30 minute walk from where I'm at right. Since our shelter in place order I can't really get to my beautiful gt.
To be fair I don't need it either but I forgot to put the cover on. So she will be collecting dust for 3 weeks.
But...
This is not another machE thread.
I'm just thinking here if Ford took the mustang name and pony for the mach e then perhaps Ford would be willing to give the next gt one of the machE electric motors. Think about it. If the top end machE can do 0-60 in 3ish seconds. Imagine that torque with a...
Now before you get heated based on the title hear me out. I'm a huge fan of gt cars. Big engines, 2 seats, lots of trunk space. In my opinion the best road trip car. You get to bring one person and a massive smile.
So I've always considered the Aston Martin to be sort of the ultimate gt car...
I've got a long business trip coming up. Open desert highway. I'm thinking some incredibly loud Bruce Springsteen with the windows rolled down.
Whats your driving music?
So I work some crazy hours. I've found that if you fold down the backseat you actually have a little bit of room to stretch out and makes for a good napping spot. Granted I'm only 5'2 so that probably helps.
But as I'm laying in the back/trunk of my car I was curious what the other enthusiasts...
I remember reading once that Ford tested the 5.0 engine by keeping the revs around 7k for days on end. Do the engineers really do intense stress tests like those or is it more of a myth?
Idk what happened in my brain today but I really , really want the new mustang inspired ev crossover. Especially if it has the rumored 370 mile range. What an awesome daily. Then id have my loud, gas drinking beast for the weekend.
Yeah I like that future.
Hey all just curious if anyone in the bay area has had a good experience at a dealer service department. I'm taking my gt in to see if the rumble/vibrations and engine noises I have are normal.
I usually go to serramonte but never feel completely confident.
Curious, do your GTs rumble when idling? By rumble I mean the engine seems to rock the car back and forth. I can't help but notice my car feels extra rumbly lately but maybe I just never paid attention before.
Would a new catback have an effect on rumbling?
I'm looking to ditch the pirelli all season tires after 3 years of service. I'm thinking of going Michelin and being a Costco member they run some great deals.
Has anyone here purchased and had tires installed at Costco? Just curious if they took good care of your car or sloppy.
Thanks for...
So this is just a little story of sharing my mustang with my 6 year old son.
My family loves muscle cars but we have different taste. My mother is a big fan of challengers and hellcats in particular. Whereas I'm obviously a mustang fan. Anyway she had converted my son to the dark side and he...
Curious how long you all plan on keeping your s550 mustangs?
I've been noticing a lot of people who are happy to beat on their car very hard because the warranty is still in place. Do you plan to trade in or sell before the warranty expires or keep it?
I baby my car in some ways and abuse it...
So I noticed on a road trip that when going above 80mph I could feel a vibration or rumble. Couldn't quite tell if it was from tires, wind or worst case the dreaded drive line vibration.
Little info, 16 gt auto with the original all season pirelli tires. 14k miles. I've been neglecting mytire...
So two years ago my mustang was rear ended in bumper to bumper traffic. Took it to the body shop and they said most of the damage was just the bumper.
Replaced the bumper and all seemed well except now I notice the car creaks pretty bad from the c pillar. Mostly when I just start it and turn...
I'm just curious how many cars you all test drove or researched before choosing a mustang. I know for some of us mustang isn't a choice but more of a lifestlye!
This is my personal story. was walking past an Enterprise one day with a friend and we were bored. Outside they had a race red...
Hello. I have a crack forming in my windshield and want to get it fixed. Is there any difference between an OEM windoshield or some off brand?
Thanks for advice and help
Leaving a friend's house tonight and as I go to accelerate I see the traction control light blinking like crazy. I have never seen it on before. Anyway it blinks like crazy and the car couldn't put down any power. It felt like it wasn't in gear.
I was able to pull over and let the car sit for...
Hi all 2016 base gt owner here. My car seems to track very nicely in normal mode and has a good alignment. It pretty much stays dead straight. However when I'm in sport mode it pulls really hard to the left. So much that I'm having a hard time enjoying sport mode.
The reason this seems...
