Thinking about continuing my Mach 1 Hood Stripe over the roof and trunk. The OEM hood stripe flat black section has a type of slightly rough texture and the Autodesign 3M stripe is smooth. It seems close enough of a match, like others have commented, but I noticed air bubbles in the sample and...
I didn't notice any hood pins on the Track Attack Mach 1's or flutter issues at high speed so is there are pins any benefit for an OEM aluminum hood? I have no problem drilling or cutting into my car if it helps safety but it seems like an unnecessary redundancy if the OEM latch enough.
Can the headliner be dropped enough to access the shark fin antenna if a roll bar is installed? My Watson roll bar appears far enough forward of the antenna but I don't want to crease the headliner if it's too cramped?
Just curious if other cars have been delivered without the tire pressure/vehicle build data stickers placed on the driver's side door jamb? My Mach 1 HP was delivered with no such stickers while my son's GT, built a few weeks before the Mach 1, has the usual compliment of vehicle data stickers.
It appears the PP1/Mach 1 brakes use a master cylinder with 1 1/8" piston bore and a "matching" vacuum booster. I tried Z26 pads on my Mach 1 and the brakes are still difficult for me to modulate, it's more like full on with any amount of pedal effort or off. I'd like to try a master cylinder...
Just an FYI of how the Verus S550 non GT hood louvers (straighter profile) fit a 2018+ hood. I'm thinking of venting my Mach 1 hood behind the nostrils and I'm doing some homework on reputable options beyond Race Louvers and TrackSpec Louvers. Verus offers prefabricated rain trays for street...
The only option on my 2022 Mach 1 is the handling pack. I could not find any menu features or climate control icons to activate a heated steering wheel, yet, when I removed my steering wheel, it had the dedicated connectors for the heating element. Is there any way to activate a heated...
Just an FYI for anyone swapping steering wheels on a late S550 Mustang, the steering wheel bolt is still an m10-1.5 grade 10.9 but the length and head are updated. (The 2022 service manual and Ford Parts don't seem to be aware of the change.)
So I thought I'd be cleaver and interrupt the simple two-wire clutch pedal position switch with a kill switch to prevent an amateur from stealing my car. ( It actually prevented two previous theft attempts with other cars.) However, unlike the historical safety function of this position switch...
I sorted out my SRS requirements and electrical concerns and I've read the numerous posts and watched various YouTube videos but I still need further clarity on this last topic: The Driver's seat and Passenger's seat main wiring harness use the same electrical connector for their respective...
I purchased a pair of junkyard doner seat bases to harvest the wiring harnesses for the adjustable seat rail position sensors (OEM mounting loses magnetic field at max forward position closest to dash,) passenger seat occupant bladder sensor, seat belt latches, and wiring for the seat air bag...
Any idea how the seat position sensors used on a 2022 Mustang determine proximity to the air bag? I'm planning to install aftermarket seats with manual slider seat tracks and I think I've got the driver's and passenger side wiring harness requirements figured out for a proper functioning of...
Any master cylinder and/or booster recommendations (or other approaches?) to increase the brake pedal effort on a 2022 PP1/Mach 1 w/Brembo front brakes? I've tried the Z26 pads and the brake pedal "feel" remains overboosted for my liking. Thanks.
I spliced an additional kill switch in series with the clutch pedal position switch (black/green wire,) as a simple and crude anti theft deterrent on my Mach 1, and it works fine in preventing the starter button from illuminating the green light "ready" status for starting the car until the kill...
Custom steering wheels sourced from mainland China are cheap for a reason, quality is a hit or miss gamble. However, when a US based vendor like CJ Pony Parts is willing to slap their brand name on such a safety related product but not stand behind it when a defect is found, be warned. I...
When replacing the clutch pedal position switch on my Mach 1, I discovered this extra mounting bracket that rotates the switch 90 degrees from the usual installation orientation. (The switch is mounted in the extra bracket and the bracket is then snapped into the original mounting position. )...
Here's my public service announcement to anyone considering replacing their OEM suspension springs with something from the aftermarket: Modern suspension springs are cold-wound from high tensile strength (and notch-sensitive) chrome based alloy steels and corrosion protection on the finished...
Does anyone have a belly pan with an oil filter access door that properly conforms to the opening? Mine is warped, like so many others, and I'm debating if I want to let the dealer replace the entire belly pan under a warranty claim if the quality hasn't improved. (It's absurd Ford won't...
Does anyone know if the Ford Workshop Manual has a section covering carpet removal/installation? I've got a 2022 manual and I can't find any mention of carpet in body section. I'm mostly interested in confirming where the retaining clips are hiding, especially around the driver's footwell area...
