It appears the PP1/Mach 1 brakes use a master cylinder with 1 1/8" piston bore and a "matching" vacuum booster. I tried Z26 pads on my Mach 1 and the brakes are still difficult for me to modulate, it's more like full on with any amount of pedal effort or off. I'd like to try a master cylinder with 1 1/4" piston bore but Ford doesn't appear to offer it. Any suggestions of who offers one and would it fit into the stock booster? (Other suggestions for increased pedal effort are also welcome.) Thanks.

whats the master on a non PP1 mustang? If its smaller you could just swap the booster and master from that.

I've read there are two diameters 1 1/8" and 1 1/16" with two styles of reservoirs, one for automatic transmissions and the other for manual transmissions with the clutch hose nipple. The smaller non PP1 master cylinder is going in the wrong direction as it would generate even more hydraulic pressure with the same pedal effort. A different pedal ratio might work but I'm not aware of any practical way of modifying the OEM pedal assembly.
