Do you think it would have sold any better than the Pontiac G8/GTO?I was disappointed that Ford didn't give us the choice to buy the Aussie Falcon here.

It would have depended a lot on marketing.Do you think it would have sold any better than the Pontiac G8/GTO?
He’s in Texas. We can meet up at the track or wherever. Go for a ride in the Mach E.I started ignoring that Oakley guy years ago. He can’t have an adult conversation without name calling. The very definition of a keyboard warrior.
They did that with the Chevy SS and sold even less of those. It would have depended a lot on marketing.
The marketing department left a lot on the table with the GTO. For example, they could have had GTO bodies in NASCAR. Pontiac would have had the only race car and street car to share a V8/RWD layout, and instead they insisted on putting the Grand Prix name on their race cars.
Haha. Lots of SS owners do the Holden badges here and for some reason some Aussie owners do the Chevy badges, idk, I guess it’s more fun to have it the way you can’t get it. Personally I think the gold bow tie looks like shit, always have, so there’s that. But, this is just for you my good friend:It's not the same at all, it's not upbadging.
They're just weirdos who are obsessed with it.
Nobody would know what it was if they left the Chevy SS badges on it anyway.
How do you know someone owns a Chevy SS (or Pontiac G8)?
They'll tell you they have a Holden!
Sounds better than a Coyote cold start
To be honest, a lot of things do lol. Especially all the dudes with catless, x-piped, Corsa Extreme cars LOLSounds better than a Coyote cold start
I would’ve bought one when I needed a sedan when my kids were younger. I tried to get a Chevy SS, my Chevy dealer at the time couldn’t get one. From what I remember, at least around here, they sold pretty fast.I was disappointed that Ford didn't give us the choice to buy the Aussie Falcon here.
Or, better still, get the drawings from Australia and build it in the USA.
It seems more like they tried to hide it from us. Ford salesmen around here were certainly clueless about it.
When my parents had the Speed Channel, and some of us liked to watch Australian V8 Supercars, mention of the 2004 Falcon confused the **** out of my local Ford salesmen.
Very much looked like a Cavalier/Cobalt on roids. I still see a few around here, they sound good. Surprisingly heavy for their size though, especially for a car that was made 20 years agoYeah, an uncle is a rabid Pontiac collector and is kicking himself now for selling his Brazen Orange '06 GTO, which was a pristine manual example.
Those, too, suffered from styling that was too mainstream GM, IMO. Shame.
Idk, some say it didn’t sell at all.I would’ve bought one when I needed a sedan when my kids were younger. I tried to get a Chevy SS, my Chevy dealer at the time couldn’t get one. From what I remember, at least around here, they sold pretty fast.
LOL. Never mind the fact that the contract restricted the number of units sold hereIdk, some say it didn’t sell at all.![]()
I was cross shopping the SS and the Camaro SS back in Feb 2017 and eventually bought the 2016 GT I had. Trying to find the SS in OKC was impossible. If I would have been able to find one, I probably would have picked it over my GT. Only reason I didn't buy the Camaro was because of the visibility and the hilariously small back seat & trunk.I would’ve bought one when I needed a sedan when my kids were younger. Your story is exactly what users on the SS Forum were reporting everywhere, no allocations because of the limited supply. The not selling narrative was just lazy reporting or flat out clickbait BS.I was cross shopping the SS and the Camaro SS back in Feb 2017 and eventually bought the 2016 GT I had. Regarding "rebadging" the SS, really it was Chevy that rebadged it. Brian just put it back to the way the Aussies had it. And the Holden emblem looks much better than the bowtie on it.
Or, perhaps Ford should stupidly let GM snag all that market share because a vocal, angry bunch of Mustang old timers wants to stop the march of progress. That sounds suboptimal to me.
