I just a read a lot of bullshit, while taking my own
. Basic macroeconomics states to build things where the comparative advantage resides. Simple. Build where labor is cheaper and you get a more affordable product, build where labor is higher and it costs more. Done. Same goes for materials procurement.
So, when I see some comments complaining about the cost of vehicles while also complaining about foreign labor content my eyes cross and eye brows lift, in that order.
That said, I fully support worker organization/unions and for the labor class to get a seat at the table and to negotiate for themselves. I do not support large corporations crying poor and blaming the worker’s wages during said negotiations whilst simultaneously racking up record profits and performing massive share buybacks.
And don’t get me started on tariffs and the like, thread locks to follow
