2020 GT Premium, bought the car in October & it went into storage shortly after that. The original battery is in it but it's time for a new one. Is AGM worth the extra expense or am I better off to stick with OEM?

Most OEM's are now AGM's. I bought a new OEM battery last year, and it was an AGM.

If you have a Costco membership they sell Interstate batteries with a 3 year warranty for $119.99 for our cars. I put one in mine last fall and no issues.

I just put one in yesterday from Costco for my 2023 Mach 1. 96r size.. Tried the H5 AGM battery , but it was about 1/2 inch too tall for the cover to fit correctly.

I'm in Canada and unfortunately all Costco seems to carry around here are their own Kirkland brand, and they're not available at any of my local stores. I went to Canadian Tire and picked up a Motomaster Eliminator wet battery. I've been using Canadian Tire batteries for 50 years so there's no reason to trust anything different. I sure had a big smile on my face when it roared to Life after 5 months of hibernation. Thanks all for your input!

the Duracell brand at Sam's is made at the East Penn site, so one of the best batteries out there. I put one in my '21 PP1 when the OEM died about 2 years ago or so and have had zero problems. I think I paid around $120 or so, not sure the price now

I've had very good luck with Motorcraft batteries. Had one last 20+ years (yes, really), and the one in the Mustang made it to just over 10. My F150's is going strong at almost the seven year mark.

I have a low mileage 2020 GT that sits most of the winter. I charge the battery a few times each winter the past 5+ years. I just had my backup camera recall done. I needed a new battery during the visit. My terminals were corroding. I last charged a month ago and my charger does a refresh mode, and it could not refresh which means "replace the battery." I have driven the car the past month with no issues, but I asked them to check it when I had the camera appointment. The Motorcraft battery was $199.95 and the install was $85.00, and there is a $50 rebate for >$250 service from Ford right now. While I was waiting I checked the similar Advanced or Autozone batteries were ~$236 with the AGMs well over $300. I got 5 years out of the factory battery. I don't have to worry about a reset process, and if the battery goes bad it's covered for 3 years for replacement, tow, or jump at Ford's expense. Can't beat the $120 some are claiming for Costco, but compared to other's, the dealer price seems in market.

Motorcraft AGM batteries are unfortunately complete shit. At least three time replaced (on warranty) one in my wife's Powerboots F150 ones were. Ended up buying Die Hard from Advance Auto Parts and eat the cost, it was more efficient than driving to dealer and dealing with them.

I'd literally buy anything but Motorcraft (although Lariat trim truck's charging / battery management system may had something to do with it).

In Canada too. Bought an Energizer AGM at Costco in late 2021 but now appears they don’t carry them in our size anymore.

Yep, Motorcraft BAGM-96R is what I replaced mine with. Seems like a much better battery than the non-AGM Motorcraft battery it came with.
It looks like that battery is discontinued.

Other than Odyssey there seems to be no AGM battery's in our shitty group size.

I thought I read a H5 size will work but it seems way to wide looking at the specs.
Any other battery recommendations?
