Utter lawlessness in Wichita, KS regarding burble tunes

Seems like every other mustang here in Wichita, KS is running a burble tune. Lately Ive noticed mustangs speed up to me only to slow down ahead of me while popping just to show off. Is it so important for these young men to be noticed? What happened to just being cool and not trying to advertise to the world that you are somehow special because you were dumb enough to run a burble tune?

That shit is getting crazy here in NJ too - not with Mustangs but with the Euro/Asia vehicle types….

IMO, it is out of hand and whether anyone here laughs at this next comment or not, I don’t give a damn.

- That noise and sudden onset of it could seriously harm someone who has existing health conditions such as a poor heart…. I’m not even joking with that thought or statement, people who have bad hearts could literally go into cardiac arrest by that type of unsuspecting loud cracking/popping.

I am hoping legislature gets passed on it to outlaw it - because it’s an annoyance, it’s a problem., many people do associate it with gun shots and it is not amusing at all or “cool” when the backfiring is actually louder than gun shots…

If rolling coal is illegal than the crackle/burble BS should be also. They are also the type of people who RUIN the automotive hobby for others because of the ridiculousness of the alarming noise.

This is a forum for one of the most modified cars in America (the world?), the Mustang, and boomers are mad that kids modify it to do something they don't like.

I have an intersection with stop light directly behind my house and they sit there at the light and rev, pop, rev, pop… trucks, imports, mustangs, motorcycles, everything. The trucks that look like they have broken rear leaf springs are the loudest, those actually shake the house.

I'm in Clearwater. It's the same thing over here. This little twink Kava bar near me hosted a car show last weekend and I could hear them all revving and popping the parking lot... Lol. I don't think they race anymore they just rev and decel for fart booms.

I rarely see a farter in the wild though.
