Do you happen to have pics of how the underside of the hood looks?
I put a rubber edge guard around the windows.

finally got my vents from @GTP installed. I asked if they could be matte/satin to match my PP wheels and they came out great. Off to road america in 2 weeks.

Where does the rain water go? Onto the engine?

Yes. Just like if you didn't have a hood vent. Though these vents will be between the header and wheel wells, not directly on the intake or heads.

How did you handle cutting the underside layer?
The entire cutting process took about five minutes with a pneumatic reciprocating saw (body saw) with a fine tooth blade. It's an intimidating approach if you're not comfortable or experienced using body saws but the saw didn't grab, jump, or get away from me and it was actually very controllable and butter-smooth cutting through both layers of the hood's soft aluminum. I used flush-head M3 bolts and lock-nuts to mount the louvers and I also made separately mounted screens and polycarbonate rain trays for daily/winter driving, no need to make a seperate cut on the inner hood layer, just simple access holes for the fasteners.
