Does Anyone Make A Braided Rear Brake Line That Doesn't Rub The Tire?

Stock wheels, tires, springs, etc. I've used the stock sway bar and the steeda sway bar. (the hose has a mount point to the sway bar end link). I've tried a couple different brands. I don't recall which ones these are but they have the stock style ends and it pushes the hose out towards the tire.

I've tried mounting them upside down (so there's no loop at the top) and I've done left to right and they still rub or seem to bind. This next set, I think I'm going to pull the sway bar brackets off and mount them inside the bar vs outside.

Any ideas?

Something has to off compared to OEM dimensions? Is the anti-sway bar too wide, would the OEM brake hose fit differently, etc?

I suppose it's possible that the Steeda sway bar is a little bit wider than stock.

It's almost like the hard line attachment needs to be 90 degrees from where it's at so the loop doesn't stick so far out.

The OEM sway bay shape is different over by the link end. That is where the brake line runs. Looks like the factory accounted for it.

Is that the correct orientation of the bracket on the frame?? It looks (to me) like that has been moved from its original position (and odd that the engraved “R” is upside down). Did you add those SS brake lines or did a shop do it?

Hello; My WAG is to rotate the block the hard line goes into 180 degrees if that is possible. Leave the mount as is. That way the hard-line ought to still be lined up close enough as it is. The braded line winds up on the other side????

Good luck

You mean mount it under the bracket instead of on top?

I think I did that but I usually take pictures of everything I try and couldn't find them. Maybe I didn't and just thought about it. Going to give it a shot. New lines on order.

Edit to Add.... I actually think I remember doing that and when the weight was on the suspension it was binding up. That loop at the top is at full droop.

The line slides in the sway bar mount bracket. You need to check them at ride height with tires on and slide the line in the bracket so it clears the tire. Also make sure the hose is not twisted as it mounts to the caliper. You can also tweak the bracket so it tips the line away from the tire.

I think I have the same ones and the same issue on the passenger side for me. I ended up sliding it upward in the bracket and then used zipties to kind of hold it in place. Definitely not a permanent fix, but it has worked so far.

That's the plan...keep the left and right lines on their respective sides and swap the brackets left to right.

My shop had trouble with my steeda lines. I believe steeda told them to zip tie it up. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I wish I had pic but 6 months later I had more work done and they were fine.

The factory anti-roll bar angles the hose inward toward the inner fender where the steeda puts it straight up.

First photo is the suspension fully compressed and the second is drooped out.
