Looks like a fat pig with poor driving feedback/dynamics, no manual options, and interior styling that is pretty off putting (strip club design). 🤣😂🤣😂👍
We get it you like Benzes can we go back to Mustangs now?

Huh? The things you miss when you stop looking sure are a shame. That pig could come optioned under 3600lbs, which is a good weight savings on my Mustang. As for poor driving dynamics and feedback, come on now. It is perfectly clear you have never been in one. Well I have not either, so I can't say for sure you are wrong but that poor feedback/dynamics were still enough to win the GTD glass at the Daytona 24H this year. That would be their third Rolex 24H victory in the last six years. Sure, the car that won was a race car instead of the road car, but the funny thing is every car in that race was a race car. The performance is there if you want to go get in the platform.

Last, but most importantly, what strip clubs have you been going to man? Maybe I got distracted, but I don't remember any looking like this.

As for Mustang depreciation, I expect the rental Mustangs in particular bring down the averages. There are a decent number of them and they are mostly basic high milage cars normal people would want a deal on to buy used. On the other end, I recently bought a 4 year old CPO Mach 1 with 10K miles for about 10K under MSRP or about 17% depreciation. I should have bought one when I started looking a year ago when it would have been cheaper. They have been going up the past year as everything has gotten more expensive. As I watched the market, the cars with the expensive options have held their value relatively well. I can't say how much is due to the new generations styling and cost, but I think that they are playing a role in keeping the S550 values up.

For the record, I like cars, a lot of them. I am a Mustang guy, but I can really appreciate a lot of other vehicles and what they bring to the table as well. I like the BMW M's as well. I have driven AMG's and BMW's and I like them for different reasons than I like my Mustang and it's more than just speed.

True. After warranty depending on the repair, the price some of those cars face is considerable. Even just for some typical milage maintenance.

Can a Jaguar even be repaired after warranty 🤔🤣 when you look at those online 90% of them are just slightly below warranty.

Car enthusiasts with fair mechanical knowledge tend to forget most people are not "car people"
Audi also has a reputation for having planned obsolescence literally down to a science.
By 100,000km (62,000mi), every bushing in the car needs replacement. Many, many owners see the estimate for the 60,000 mile service and start looking for another car.

I’m too busy APPRECIATING my s550 to think about it depreciating in value…in fact, the longer I have it the more I value my s550
For all of us who don't plan on getting rid of our cars, depreciation is ignorable.

I feel like 3/4 of the posters in this thread didn't understand that the Mustang was amongst the least depreciating vehicles, shortly behind Toyotas known for low depreciating. I can't comment on the authenticity or accuracy of the list, but it's the "best" vehicles for depreciation. Of course the German luxury brands are absent!

Good point. Nevertheless, this is ALWAYS the conversation regarding vehicles.

I’ve got more money invested in my s550 than I care to admit. I know I’ll never recoup those funds.

I didn’t build the car to get my money back, I built the car because it’s been a lot of fun

It all depends on which make and model. I bought a 2020 GT350 Heritage for 72k brand new. I saw one the other day sold for 74k and had 7,800miles on it. Soooo??

Depreciation is only relevant for those who are concerned about resale.

I'm never selling. 😎
