I don’t think I am going to keep racing with the stock converter .... at least till I build that “spare” long block . Lol
Honestly if all you want is low 10’s (may be even high 9’s) all that is needed is the Whipple stage 2 tune, like I did at first . I think you could even pulley down to the 3.5 pulley for the strip with the whipple tune ... just run unleaded race gas (104 GTP is not bad at $8 gallon )

I know some have had issues but I still think their tune is solid , at least on the 18’s. No need to even mess with the cats as their tune has “cat protection” . After I deleted my cats, with the PBD tune is when the “greed “ first kicked as I started wanting to run “all the octane “ I could with leaded gas and ended up messing up my 02 sensors (might be when any damage happened to the motor if that’s the case )

So I had my friend look at my logs. He said I had a lot of beltslip. It was hiting 15psi but I was loosing 3 to 4 psi so only seeing 11/12 psi. And what's odd is our said the log didnt show any wheel spin. But I'm telling you it sure felt like tires were sping. Just trying to figure everything out. I think that 1/2 shift the car jumped and I thought it was tirer spin. So I'm gonna get a new shorter belt first. I have a griptec but it's a 3.25. I may put that on. I'm definitely doing the converter this week with second gear launch. I feel like it will be a much smoother launch. Get the belt to stop slipping and converter 2nd gear launch. I'm thinking at least a 9.7 with 3.5 pulley. But I'm new at this only 5 passes in.

Are you logging boost ?

What belt size are you running with the 3.5 pulley?

May be move adjustable idler to take up some the belt slack .

I can tell you based on my experience that you ARE definitely spinning in that 1-2 shift .

Pretty sure if I can (being a mechanical ignoramus) read basic PIDS on the log , you can too .
Just down load SCT live link on your computer and plug in the Ngauge.
Take a look at your mph and you will see how it “bumps “ on the 1-2 shift .

I will take a screen shot of my MPH logs for you to see .

3.5 pulley. The makes on the Tensioner are lined up. But I can try and make it tighter.

Per whipple chart it’s the same 81.5 belt for the 3.625 and 3.5 pulley .

@PC 2015 Here is a screen shot my mph log (in blue ) before the converter .
You can see it pin when it shifts from 1-2 .

No same belt.
Hey man . Sorry I misspoke before .

You need a shorter belt (81.5) for the 3.5 pulley (coming from 3.625/3.75)
See chart below .

What was the part number you used?
I used the belt that comes with the kit. The spring Tensioner arrows are lined up but it is got to be to long. I dont think a 3.5 pulley should get belt slip.

I was told by AED Tuning they bead blast the inside grooves of the 3.5 pulley to help it from slipping.

Or just get a grip tech . I know @PC 2015 already has a 3.25 grip tech .
I don’t think I am seeing slip with mine but have not logged boost .
@HRSEPLA has been down to. 2.85 grip tech pulley workout slip .

Yeah I might just get a griptec 3.5 and call it a day. I'm gonna put the conveter in do second gear launch next time too.
